Eocarcharia

Echo just gets worse with every new version made of her.

Also, interesting that Blue is the only one with painted claws.

Yeah, also a pass for me, but I have to give them credit for the presentation of the package, like, it looks really good!

First of the upcoming CC Human figure sets has been revealed. Kenji and a retooled Monolophosaurus (might be in the show?):

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

So another CC set has been revealed. A repack of Darius with a Gallimimus repaint, the raptor resonating chamber from JPIII (a shame the only set it pairs with, the white raptor one from 2019, was terribly distributed), and a just hatched baby Bumpy. Not sure why Bumpy's colors are so off though but otherwise a nice set I guess.

Bumpy looks like a pile of blue mashed potatoes. I'm sure it's just a small image that's been upscaled more times than it should so the final product will probably look a lot better. Excited about that resonating chamber, that's an awesome accessory!

ItsTwentyBelow

Cool, I like these Camp Cretaceous human-dino 2-packs!

I've resisted buying any Monolophosaurus repaints because I already own the green battle damage version, but I think I will make an exception for this one since it's more of a re-sculpt. Man, the Darius/Gallimimus set definitely becomes more attractive with the resonating chamber. And another Gallimimus for the flock.

Excited to see the other two packs, and anything else!

Huge image dump:

Chompin' Carnotaurus:

Mega Destroyers Carcharodontosaurus:

Roar Attack Allosaurus:

Roar Attack Baryonyx "Limbo":

Roar Attack Baryonyx "Chaos":

Roar Attack Ankylosaurus "Bumpy":

Roar Attack Ceratosaurus:

So the Ouranosaurus apparently has 6 digits on the forelimbs. How does one seriously make this mistake? And I'm well aware the number of digits has never been their strong suit/accurate. Would it really hurt them to start referencing from skeletal material, etc for the none film/game design animals? This is almost like last year's Edmontosaurus, an ornithopod, with four toes.

I'll post the remaining snap squad ones later. You can see them on Collect Jurassic's twitter here though:

Interesting. I was kind of expecting the roar attacks to be like the sound strikes given the sort of carved out tail, but I guess we're back to button features. I like the wide roar you get since the upper and lower jaws are hinged (something I don't care for on the EC rex oddly enough) but man are those guys aching for more paint.

ItsTwentyBelow

Incredibly weird how they sculpted the Ouranosaurus hands with six digits each...but this time they got the correct number of toes on the hind feet compared to the Edmontosaurus...

Oh well. I still want that Ouranosaurus the most! I will just tell myself that the animals at Jurassic Park more routinely had these types of genetic disorders.

I like the Carcharodontosaurus a bit more after seeing that new picture.

Fembrogon

I think that's the first time I've EVER seen a dinosaur reconstructed with six digits. How on Earth....???
It's a nice figure otherwise, but those feet are an eyesore.

suspsy

I will probably get that Allosaurus for my son; it's one of his favourite dinosaurs. Kind of sick of all these Baryonyxes, but I guess they're a popular seller.

And wow, Mattel really needs to do some better research on ornithopod limbs.

Reuben03

why do mattel flick between being great and sucking in the most bipolar way???

like,

WHAT THE HELL EVEN ARE SNAP SQUADS? WHAT IS UP WITH THAT CARNOTAUR?? HOW DO THEY MESS UP FEET AND TAILS SO BAD???

i just want good dinosaurs lol

Clearly Ingen went from Frog DNA to Ichthyostega DNA.
A shame cause apart from that it looks really nice...but really, what a peculiar mistake to make.

avatar_PrimevalRaptor @PrimevalRaptor I was starting to ponder that very thing last night. Either that or polydactyly. I'm just not sure how something like this doesn't get caught at qc testing.

avatar_Reuben03 @Reuben03 Those are intentionally stylized. Like chibis. Definitely not part of the main line (although that clearly has its issues with proportions as well). And honestly I think the Snap Squads are fun little accessories (they clip on to things and have dangly limbs). And I'll surely be getting that Carnotaurus for my nieces to go with the ones from previous years.

Edit: May as well add in the remaining images to this post:

Snap Squads (seen before, but new individual pics I guess):
