So..the Target exclusive today was the Raptor Squad. Kinda bummed that would be one of the releases. Seems like it could have been just a regular release, mainly because it's not that impressive. I loved the video talking about how they "can' change the sculpt and did their best to make each color as "accurate" as possible...ugh And it doesn't release until August? Wow.

They did at least let it slip what the next set up for preorder will be, The Rex vs Explorer...guess that leaves the Apato til Fall/Winter?

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Yeah this was a tad disappointing for me (even so with accuracy claim marketing gimmick, though Delta and Echo are totally not accurate), but I guess expected since there weren't many other possibilities at this point. An easy pass for me unless it goes on clearance I suppose. The August eta is strange too, considering this was released overseas already (I think, since Jurassic Bap has a set already).

I'm not surprised about the Ford Explorer set being the May/summer reveal, well at least after it was revealed (and seems to have an eta for around June I think on Smyths page for it). The Apatosaurus will probably be a good seller for the holiday season, as was done with the fall release of the Brachiosaurus, though I'm a bit jealous the UK, etc has already had access to it this soon. Granted from what I've seen of Smyths stores shelves (online) they clearly have the space for it to begin with (I guess they are like what Toys R US used to be like here).

By the way regarding the Micro Collection figures, I picked up some extras in case friends wanted them, but so far none have bit, so if you'd like the help in obtaining a set I'd be glad to oblige.

Just a let down overall on that set, it will display well, so I ordered a single one instead I've normal 2 or 3..my niece and nephew know Blue but they really know nothing about the other squad members.  Which is weird how hard they are going with them on merchandising.

I think I was hoping the Apatosaurus would be sooner given it showed up overeseas first.  I thought about asking for help getting one but idk, shipping is a BEAST now.

If you have them, PM with a price, I would actually be into buying a case if your stores have them for our little shop here too aside from a couple sets for myself.

Oh the Extreme Damage Rex is up on walmart's site under a different name : https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jurassic-World-Battle-To-Survive-T-rex/406981885?

I got an email notification from Target early this morning that the Spinosaurus was in stock; but of course it no longer was by the time I actually checked. Still, they're getting closer!

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Sent you the message as requested.

I guess for the Spinosaurus the best thing would be to keep an eye on it frequently. Otherwise I guess there's always the pre-order on EE. I'm still wondering when Best Buy will get it. Would have thought they would have it by now, after they had a tag up for it back in March.

Edit: Apparently its been found on store shelves now in Ohio at least. So it may be a good to keep an eye out in the coming weeks.

Also forgot to share the stuff that was posted last night from Collect Jurassic and Jurassic Outpost. Most importantly is the new retooled "Ocean Protector" Mosasaurus, which is stated to be made from over a pound of recycled ocean-bound plastic. Tail either has articulation now or is tied to a new action feature.

There were also new and higher quality images of all the Camp Cretaceous "Jurassic Camper" assortment:

Now I'll be honest, I do prefer the head shape of the original Monolophosaurus. Was much more like the fossil evidence.
Spoiler
But this is accurate to what will be in the show I presume, based on the silhouette seen in the S3 trailer.
[close]
I do like the coloration as well.

Spoiler
The Gallimimus seen in this set was also seen in the S3 trailer.
[close]
I still wish Bumpy was just teal only here, but I get it, its a budget thing. Though I would have preferred tan in that case.

And last but not least Ben and Bumpy, based on their appearances in S2:

I didn't really catch this last night, but kind of awesome they added like a layer of "dirt" on top of him.

Gotta say the Ben and Bumpy set, and the Kenji and Monolophosaurus sets look to have the most play-ability, with the Yaz and Blue set next, and Darius and the Gallimimus set with the least. So looks like I got a lot of fixing and adding to do for the op next now.

Cool, as soon as it pops up I'll reply, must be a bit of a delay? lol

I preordered through EE but if I can get them without the shipping fee I'm all for it. I've not heard much about Best Buy since that tag was posted.   I do think it's odd the newest wave at walmart, the one with the blue plesiosaurus? one of my local stores just clearenced the whole wave returning the once mostly empty shelf to fully empty.   ???

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Strange. I thought I sent it, but it still has yet to show up in my sent box either. I'll try again later today, if it doesn't seem to have gone through for either of us.

OP has been sectioned up a bit more, with the Camp Cretaceous packaging figures separated from the later releasing Dino Escape stuff. The Legacy Collection is under its own section as well. This should make things a bit more easier to browse now.

And that is strange. I wonder if they'll be getting the red and orange Velociraptor repaints, and the Sinoceratops and Cryolophosaurus, in stock. I really hope the distribution picks up on those soon. Been patiently waiting, and while the price is continuing to drop on the raptors on Amazon at least, it hasn't been the case for the others (or at least the Sinoceratops, as I'm not sure if the Cryolophosaurus is up there yet), but it is still much more then I would like to pay on these for the meantime. Target has been a bust for me as still haven't seen those go in stock once, and the last time I checked (several stores) none had any of those in stock (although they have been showing up on some stores shelves, like in D @Dino Scream3232 area). I'm guessing there will be a toy reset this month, or early next month. Hopefully we don't skip this wave here, and jump right to the Dino Escape stuff (which seems to have an eta in June or later at the moment).

I saw a bunch of the orange raptor at my local Target earlier this week, but strangely no red raptor.

I found it, was in my "Other" folder on hotmail...I really need to update my email here to my business one via gmail. I did reply. lol

One Target yesterday had the Orange ( bought it) a couple red ones, lots of Grim, one set of the repainted Sarcosuchus and Albertosaurus. No Spinos or Nedry sets or even places for them.   I did see doing a check a few minutes ago a couple stores about 2 hours away have limited stock on the Spino so it's creeping in.

I managed to get one Sino off of Amazon, I've heard they have been appearing at Krogers? Our stores don't even toy sections so I never understood that.

I feel like Walmart doesn't know what it's going to do. They started out with as many exclusives as Target, now Target is pulling ahead and all I see new at walmart, if anything, is space...and the new Extreme Damage Rex.

I really want that darn Apato...but it might be a Christmas gift to myself.

terrorchicken

those Camp Cretaceous sets with the kids and dinos are really cute...

long as my heart's beatin' in my chest
this old dawg ain't about to forget :')

Lynx

I love the concept of reusing trash in the ocean to make a figure! Its quite nice of Mattel to think of that! I'll probably buy it if it's not too expensive.
An oversized house cat.

Stopped by Walmart and Target today. My Walmart is FINALLY stocking Jurassic World stuff again, for the first time in over a year. The shelves were still in the process of being filled but it looks like a respectable portion of the shelves will be Jurassic World, so I'm excited.

Target is finally getting up to date with their stock. I saw baby Bumpy there today for the first time and got the Kenner inspired Gallimimus. The epic roaring T. rex was marked down to $25. I have been debating getting it for months and I'm glad I waited, needless to say I picked it up too.

Reuben03

"SO EXCITED MARINE REPTILE" lmao forgive me i just woke up.
so excited to see a marine reptile*** lol

I was out shopping today and bought this 3 pack of "captivs" eggs on a whim. They have sort of an egg yolk slime inside the egg that I immediately threw away, lol. The toys themselves are in a separate plastic bag inside the egg. I was really hoping for a Bumpy, but here's what I ended up with:

Echo

Rexy

Glow in the dark Baryonyx

Not the greatest paint app, but they're cheap (I think this was $10?). I'm tempted to buy another to try again for Bumpy, but not super interested in the rest of the set, lol.
