Quote from: Lynx on November 06, 2022, 06:00:51 PMTorn on if I should buy this figure or not. I don't have the space and I prefer the Papo one but it's so nice looking.

Isn't the Papo version's pose a bit...unrealistic?

I don't care much for realism in this case, honestly. More interesting than the same standing-with-the-head-turned pose.
Is that sort of pose more realistic? Yes. But I already have tons of figures with that exact same pose, Papos rather daring but unique poses make the figure feel more alive.
An oversized house cat.

It's great to see you in a PNSO thread again H @HD-man! :)

Remko

Therizinosaurus arrived today.
Very nice figure. A bit smaller than I had expected, but that's a good thing. As most of PNSO's 1:35 animals are actually far larger. This one looks good compared to their Deinocheirus and Tarbosaurus.

Thanks! :) On a related note, it's been almost 1 year since I posted this in "My dino media wishlist" ( https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=9979.0 ):
QuoteA PNSO-published Natural History of Dinos in the style of Owen's "Prehistoric Animals: The Extraordinary Story of Life Before Man" ( https://chasmosaurs.com/2019/12/09/vintage-dinosaur-art-prehistoric-animals-octopus-part-1/ ): As you may remember, I love dino dioramas ( https://www.amazon.com/review/R3F47215A3OEHY/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8 ). As you may also remember, I love PNSO ( https://www.amazon.com/review/R3R6KZA4VWB8E6/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8 ), especially their dino models ( https://www.paleo-nerd.com/tag/pnso/ ). Gripes aside, said models are so detailed & realistic that they should be in museum dioramas like the Smithsonian's ( http://agathaumas.blogspot.com/2011/05/annual-report-for-year-ended-june-30.html ). I'd especially love it if, like said models, this hypothetical NHD was updated every few years (& thus, always up-to-date, like many bird field guides: https://betterbirdphotography.com/bird-field-guides/ ).

I Ordered The Tistaosaurus from Happy Hen Toys when I saw the Discounted price. It is apparently a part of their Black Friday Deals

As a person thats been shopping from them lately to get PNSO Product

They do not Have Everything from PNSO in Stock

For Instance They do not have the 2021 Triceratops

or Iguanodon

But they seem to surprise me every now and then with new product, For Instance The Deinocheirus, Lingwulong, and Suchomimus Sinopliosaurus.  Rather or not they get the Therizinosaurus in Remains to be seen.

Flaffy

The Deinocheirus and "Sinopliosaurus" are in stock at EverythingDinosaur for our UK members.

Still debating on if I should bother getting something as fragmentary and controversial as the "Sinopliosaurus".

Fembrogon

Scram, ya big bully!!

(...wait, which one is the real bully here?  >:D )

As you can probably tell, I'm already having a blast with these two. They're a gorgeous couple of models, and they display beautifully together as well as with the Tarbosaurus. Probably some of my favorite figures from this year.

Remko

Anyone else having problems with the Deinocheirus standing without support?

My figure shifts between "stable as a house" to "wobbly spaghetti legs", depending on the day.

Faelrin

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon Looking like the Nemegt Formation's big three are about to drop their greatest hits album. Great pics and very much looking forward to getting the Tarbosaurus and Therizinosaurus next year, now that I have the Deinocheirus.

Mine is balancing very well on its own so far. Have you noticed any signs of warping or misalignment in the feet?

A bit of warping. But if I try to bend them, they won't move at all.

Stays up fine with the stand though, but it's just curieus, that the figure will be able to stand on it's own one day, and just topple over the next.

Although I've had it with more PNSO's figures. The latest Wilson also has this problem, eventhough he basically stands on  just his right foot. The left foot barely touches the ground.
