Not that i am interested in buying one of these (Tarbo has a nice colouration and scuplt detail within its deformed body) but that seems to be quite early for a 23 Lineup. Seems like they want to have them in before chirstmas. Good for everyone that wants to have one of these.

Well, everyone in Europe anyway. Seems we'll have to wait a bit longer in the States. Fair enough, it's the reverse with Safari.

Won't be long though. Schleich USA is stating some things will be available on January 1 (well, the caracal will be, which is all I want from 2023)

EDIT: I just searched 'Edmontosaurus' and that will be available 1/1 too, so maybe the 2023 models will be available then.

I'll still have to wait, as there is a $10 minimum and the one figure I want doesn't cost that LOL

Halichoeres

"Lucky" me, the Gallimimus clears that threshold.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres what "luck"!  ;D What I would consider luck is it leaving your collection asap, so that means a proper version finally gets made.

Yes, that would be ideal. I do think it's a step up from the only other two feathered versions made previously, but if Safari could reveal one in the next two weeks that would be great.

I would have traded the new Schleich figures with the Safari ones in a heart beat...
Still waiting....

I saw the new Schleich releases live today, held them in my hands and I must say: The Gallimimus' hands are a complete mess, as is the complete figure. It is much  worse than AAA Gallimimus. The Edmontosaurus is huge 😱 and quite decent, albeit I still can't tell how the real animal could have walked. Best ist their Ankylosaur which I would buy if it was not for the shamelessly high price of 17 Euro. The rest, to put it bluntly, is ugly rubber trash. Still I am angry at the company since it does not care for correct figures or consulting a specialist whatsoever. If I worked for their quality control I would fire the whole departement.

PrimevalRaptor

Agreed on the Gallimimus, I really don't know what they were thinking there. It's such a big shame cause this is the first proper Gallimimus in AGES (I'm still sticking with my AAA one) and then they just put some weird mittens on there and called it a day.

Faelrin

While it's not the same, I'm at least relieved with Kaiyodo's Ornithomimus. All those years of waiting for a non-Deinocheirus ornithomimosaur paid off (the wing's on CollectA's Struthiomimus were not to par for me). That said even if the hands on Schleich's Gallimimus are cursed at least it is decently feathered like their Oviraptor was. You win some, you lose some.

Prehistory Resurrection

Thanks, avatar_Prehistory Resurrection @Prehistory Resurrection . The review did dispel the suspicion that I'd entertained that their Tarbo was simply a retool of the previous rex. Obviously NOT. I occasionally pick up a Schleich (last year's Styracosaurus, for instance), and this is a possibility, as I sometimes like Schleich's type of stylization. No desperate rush though as I currently am very satisfied with my two different Favorite Tarbosaurus figures, and the rather unique PNSO one, itself a bit of an atypical depiction, IMO.

The Tarbo is alright, if I had no other Tarbosaurus I might get it. The Gastonia looks to be the standout and will be the only Schleich figure I add to my collection this year, and the first Schleich figure since their Psittacosaurus.

SidB

Once again, thanks avatar_Prehistory Resurrection @Prehistory Resurrection , for sending the Gastonia review along. Definitely another possible for me - my annual Schleich 'fix'. Seems that my pattern recently is one a year, though I may just spring for the Tarbosaurus as well . I used to have a considerable Schleich collection, but have given away most of these over the years. Just keeping or acquiring the ones that I really like, for one reason or another. Space storage and display constraints are always a factor for me and actually that's not so bad. Best to only keep what's really wanted anyways, at the end of the day.

The Tarbosaurus is surprisingly goodlooking figure imo

I rather like the paint work and though Schleich's figures can be quite stylized, and sometimes not for the better, I do like this figure. It should go well with their most recent T-rex, of which I have the green, mass-produced version. Although the two Favorite Tarbos and of course the PNSO one are certainly more accurate, the stylization on the Schleich appeals to me aesthetically and I don't feel inclined to judge it purely on the grounds of strict accuracy. I'll likely pick up one. Even though I live in Canada, the shipping rates from Germany are often far more affordable than from the UK or the USA, so I'll probably acquire one from a German source.

Speaking of sticking, part of the reason I still plan to replace my AAA is that the plastic is quite degraded and sticky, so it's become very unpleasant to handle.
