First hour and a half and we're already 1/4 of the way there. If this pace keeps up we'll clear this in one day. I'm going for the Allosaurus and Smilodon. Last minute chage of plans. Figured I'd go for them now since they are Wave 1 anyways. If I can push more on later I will, but that will depend on how much I can throw on the card by the time it ends (November 2), if I can put more on it then the limit of $200, and considering I get paid just before then, that timing works for me. It will also depend on how much the stretch goals are gonna cost. I'm gonna bet Utahraptor is $65 (plus shipping), since Achillobator is, but I'm really dying to know how much the Dilophosaurus and Carnotaurus are gonna set me back. Deinonychus should be cheaper since it is the smallest.

Edit: Well I did my part with spreading it on instagram. Though with how they changed tag search and made it useless to find new posts, I'm not sure how much help it will be. I shared it in the groups I'm part of as well.

It's great to see an articulated Allosaurus again but I'm almost more interested in A. fragilis because I want to replicate a very specific skeletal mount. I'm also really excited to get ahold of the Andrewsarchus!
I'd like to compare the Cyberzoic color schemes with their eventual Beasts of the Meso/Cenozoic figures too.

Flaffy

And it's live!! Not the biggest initial selection admittedly, but the campaign's making good progress at more than a third of the way funded!

Nothing in the campaign interests me as of now unfortunately. Was hoping to see Carnotaurus be listed as one of the stretch goals but I'm guessing it'll come later. Allosaurus I'm still very much on the fence about, especially with PNSO's new lipped "Saurophaganax"* at 1/35, a static model at my preferred scale. Not a huge fan of the hazy air-brushed look on the Cyberzoic colour scheme either.

*DINO2560 is assigned as an A. fragilis

Carnoking

Boy howdy look at it go! Coming up on 100,000 on its first day alone, ya love to see it.
I've gone ahead and pledged for the Allosaurus for the time being if only to help reach those stretch goals sooner rather than later. I'll probably be altering my pledge down the line seeing as I'm more interested in the BotM color variant of the Allo.

Concavenator

Quote from: Carnoking on October 03, 2023, 08:01:09 PMI'm more interested in the BotM color variant of the Allo.

We haven't seen the color concept for the BotM A. jimmadseni yet. Actually, out of the 4 planned Allosaurus figures (BotM + Cyberzoic A.jimmadseni, BotM + Cyberzoic A. fragilis), the color scheme for the BotM A. jimmadseni is the only one yet to be revealed.

Carnoking

I was referring specifically to the concept art of fragilis as my preferred color scheme at the moment. Whether or not a BotM jimmadseni variant usurps it, only time will tell. Regardless, when it comes to these 1/18 scale figures, buying four variants between two species is simply out of the question. Even one of each species is a tall order when there are so many other animals to look forward to. With that in mind, whichever color scheme appeals to me most will be the one I hold out for, be that fragilis or jimadseni.

Carnoking

As a sidenote, I think it's interesting that there are no non-action figure options for pledges like we got with the tyrannosaur and ceratopsian kickstarters. I would have definitely been interested in an art book companion piece to the world of Cyberzoic!

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator He showed the BotM Allosaurus fragilis a while back (August 18, 2022). Here's what the post said:

QuoteToday we have the first look at the color designs for the BotM and Cyberzoic versions of Allosaurus fragilis! Colors were inspired by the green iguana.
There will also be a figure for A. jimmadseni for both lines , but it'll have a different color design.

In a comment on the July 19 FB post that revealed the concept art alongside the A. jimmadseni finished/printed sculpt, he clarified this:

QuoteI hadn't shown the jimmandseni colors yet, I just showed fragilis with the wrong head design. Sorry, for the confusion.

He also mentioned in another comment on that post that A. fragilis will belong to the Fire Clan in Cyberzoic.

I think this is where my earlier confusion of making note of the coloration on the DTC site being from the Green Iguana came from. That only applies to the A. fragilis concept art so far. I did see a comment on the A. jimmadseni digital sculpt posted on September 20, 2022 (FB post), that the color design for that one would be based on iguanas as well.

QuoteYes it will be different, but will likely take inspiration from iguanas as well.

By the way we are also over 50%/$110,000 of the way to having this fully funded now. Less then 12 hours (since it launched at 9am est, and it is after 7pm now).

Don't have a lot of cash on hand atm so I just did a basic figure order. I'll add the Allo, Dragon and maybe the armor for the Allo later on.

First kickstarter update is out, and with it, we have some galleries of the initial batch of offerings, the Allosaurus, Smilodon, and Arctic Dragon.

Edit: I got up at like 8:30 this morning to go to the bathroom (before going back to bed, and getting up after 11), and it's been kind of stalled around the $130k mark for hours now.

Quote from: Faelrin on October 04, 2023, 05:40:34 PMit's been kind of stalled around the $130k mark for hours now.

It started to slow down dramatically since like yesterday in the night, even with how greatly it advanced during the morning. It's genuinely sad that this great project isn't getting more success, one way or the other I think that the initial goal is safe. What I'm worried about is the stretch goals...  :'(

Now that's a battle cat!

So the armor, and figures will be available for sale with the figures for sale after the ks is over? I don't wanna pledge to get armor and figure, I wanna buy them the old fashioned way.

Also, people aren't pledging because October is the worst month in sales of the whole year. Not to mention that some of us still have to finish collecting the ceratopsians first, then there's the rexes. There's no cash.

D @David96 If we don't get all the stretch goals unlocked during the campaign there is another way. It happened with the ceratopsians campaign before. There was a way to continue receive funding for those goals through the backerkit pre-order store (which is initially open to backers first, as part of the survey process, and then acts as a general pre-order store for the rest that did not back). That said, I wouldn't worry too much. This happened with other campaigns. Only the Tyrannosaur series had the luck of being funded within the first two days, and you can probably guess as to why.

Here's a look at the overall funding for the previous three campaigns to compare.

In any case we are almost to $140,000 now.

Edit: David shared this in a fb comment on the Smilodon gallery:

I should also mention that we're planning to give this interchangeable ears- relaxed and swept back. This became a necessary option for using the head armor on either head, but it'll work well as a bonus feature too!

Edit 2: David confirmed it will still have the interchangeable fur piece on the neck too, like shown in the earlier digital renders. So we're getting that, the ears, the two heads (one with articulated jaw), and two sets of paws (claws in and out). $55 Kickstarter pricing (shipping aside) for all this feels like a steal. For real folks, if you want one of these at all, and can afford to do so when the campaign ends on November 2nd, I'd consider getting in on it now.

That Deinonychus looks great!

Blade-of-the-Moon

Deinonychus looks good.  The desert clan wears a lot of armor for  the heat..I just look at it and get uncomfortable. lol

suspsy

If David decides to do Fire Clan armour for the T. rex on top of the planned Tech Clan armour, I might be tempted to buy both sets.

Actually, screw that. I would.

Surprised nobody shared them here. I mean yeah one can go to the kickstarter and see the update, but anyways:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/creativebeast/cyberzoic-sci-fi-dinosaur-and-dragon-action-figures/posts/3927174

This thing is such a beauty. I really hope we can it unlocked soon (never mind everything else). It'll be $30 during the campaign, and increase afterwards, which is a great deal, and incentive to help back the campaign.

Edit: Coming up on $150,000. Feels like this is going to be a slow draw from here, until perhaps the first stretch goal is unlocked (now the Achillobator, which was moved up). The good news is we are almost 3/4's of the way to having the main campaign fully funded now.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin thanks for sharing those trajectories of the previous campaigns. I think you're right we're in for a long wait and then a flurry of activity in the last 48 hours. I haven't backed it yet; I already pre-ordered the BotM Achillobator months ago, so as of now there's nothing I'm after here.

Gotta say that Deinonychus is pretty nice, though!

Is this right? Is this campaign fully funded now? Or is this some weird glitch I'm seeing on my end (on both my phone and laptop). Just an hour ago it was a bit over $154k (as kicktraq is showing me).

Edit: David responded to my comment on the kickstarter asking the same thing. It is indeed funded. Congrats everyone! First stretch goal (Achillobator set) is coming up to being unlocked soon too. Almost $10k away now. It would not shock me at all if I wake up to see it funded as well.

Edit 2: Here's an update already explaining where that huge boost just came from:
