I'd prefer correct proportions

What do you mean?
None of the Cryolophopsaurus figures available right now have correct Dilophosaurus-like proportions

How would Cryolophosaurus figures differ from Dilophosaurus proportions?

More than anything, I would love to see Kulindadromeus, Tianyulong, Oryctodromeus / Orodromeus, Leaellynasaura, and/or really any small, properly feathered ornithischian along these lines.

I am also team feathered Cryolophosaurus.

Faelrin

Still can't believe Kulindadromeus doesn't have a single figure to its name.

Kulindadromeus is one of my dearest wishes. Like avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I never cease to be astonished that there isn't one available from any firm.

Current Cryolophosaurus figures (and pre-2020 reconstructions at large) are all largely based on reconstructions of pre-2020 Dilophosaurus. So it's only logical to base new reconstructions of Cryo on new reconstructions of Dilo. Like this.

Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

I see, thanks.  Scott Hartman's Cryolophosaurus skeletal was based on Sinosaurus though, which seems like a reasonable alternative.  The Battat Cryolophosaurus is based on Sinosaurus too.

Next year it will have been 100 years since Velociraptor, Oviraptor and Saurornithoides were named.  That might make them nice choices for making into Wild Past figures. :)  Alternatively, or additionally, next year will also be 50 years since Zanabazar junior was named.  That species would be a great choice to be made into a figure, I think.

Halichoeres

I agree with those who said that the Kickstarter should maybe be for one or a few figures, and then additional figures could be added as stretch goals. There may be people interested in prints or pins, and those might make more sense as low-level pledge rewards, or as add-ons.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I have generally liked being surprised by your new offerings and I think you should continue to follow your whims rather than putting anything to a vote.

Definitely agree with the latter avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres said. I love to be surprised. It adds to the overal excitement surrounding the model.

Like when you announced and released your Tethyshadros pair: I never anticipated this species and never really thought of it myself as an option - I was all the more excited when I saw them announced and to this day that feeling of excitement still surrounds these figures when I take a look at them.

ceratopsian

Agreed on liking the element of surprise.

Since WP made a Majungasaurus, I would also like to see them make a Rapetosaurus as well.

Ooooh, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Rapetosaurus would be fantastic; there's a few Majunga models out there now, but nothing else from Madagascar.

Sim

Masiakasaurus is from Madagascar and Safari has made a figure of it.

Passion Charger's Majungasaurus also had some Masiakasaurs with it.

Hello,

Thank you all for the suggestions and ideas you've made. As mentioned, there are finished models that also need implementing. Perhaps I'll post them here in the near future. I've already seen two species that will be included :-D

avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian
Postcards and calendars sound great! This is one of my favourite suggestions!

avatar_Dusty Wren @Dusty Wren
It should be a single campaign similar to the BotM line. I thought about doing it by using stretch goals & tiers as avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator suggests. Seeing how many suggestions you all have regarding possible species, I will definitely resort to a poll. This way, all interested parties really have the chance to get their favorites. It's not a promise, but a mix of "What do you want" vs "What do we think is cool" is probably good for everyone.

Apart from the classic individual figures, there are also other ideas I've been working on for about 2 years, without really coming to a good conclusion. Maybe I need to involve you as a community more deeply. There are always reasons why manufacturers often present you with accomplished facts and a lineup... I think it would be good if I could present my plans to have a more lively exchange.

avatar_Sim @Sim, A set containing Velociraptor and other species in one box is one of my ideas (not necessarily for the Kickstarter though)

T @thedeadlymoose Small species are always difficult because we try to work in 1:35, but I have plans for something like that which I'd like to present. Maybe in a new thread? At the moment we're testing what would need to be changed on the models for production, after that, I can show them to you 😊

I just found this thread while browsing, and with the release of scutosaurus and seeming proximity of majungasaurus I was wondering, is the possibility of a preview of some of the ks figures still on the table?

Great question, I would love to see that as well, in order to decide what to pledge for.

DinoToyCollector

Well here we go. I have set up a Newsletter on my website and the first Letter was already be sent. So here are the first things that I told. I simply do some Copy/paste here:

Why Kickstarter now?

Over the last few years we have gained a lot of experience and knowledge about the production of figures. It became apparent that the current process was unfortunately very slow and this is where crowdfunding comes into play. After intensive research, a lot of communication and negotiations, I finally found a partner who can provide us with an "all-round worry-free package". All the individual steps that previously took place across various companies are now carried out centrally via one factory. This saves time, a lot of time.

And what can be achieved through the campaign?

The campaign plan is to provide basic funding for 3 sets with the option of stretch goals.

These first 3 sets include animals from the group Sauropodomorpha, Theropoda and Ornitischia and they will be larger than all of our current figures. The figures for any stretch goals will be very mixed.

avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector Thank you for posting the news!

I have some questions:

- What do you mean by set? Something like the Scutosaurus + Kotlassia, rather than individual figures like the Majungasaurus? If they're like the aforementioned Scutosaurus + Kotlassia set, how many species would be included per set?

- When will we see the models that will be offered?

- Since you said the figures will be larger than the current ones, does that mean they will represent larger animals (and so would be bigger at 1:35 scale), or will the scale be changed?

- Are the stretch goals' species determined already?

- When will the Kickstarter campaign be launched?

- Any ideas on pricing and delivery dates for backers yet?

Thanks in advance!  :)
