Excellent news!

Speaking of unexpected delays,

Not sure if anyone has been following the news, but dock workers at ports on the East and Gulf coasts of the US approved a strike this morning, which is sure to cause delays, the severity of which has yet to be seen. Could be a minor hiccup, could be a major issue.

Just a timely reminder that delays happen and often they are beyond the control of any one manufacturer.

Not a good thing.  Especially at the moment. Our region is in pretty desperate need of everything to rebuild after the hurricane and this could be very bad for us.

Well, good news on that front. Port employers offered a wage package more commensurate with cost-of-living increases, so the union suspended the strike already!

On an off-note, people here in Wyoming have already been buying the heck out of toilet paper because of the potential strike, even though a strike won't likely affect availability. I find it is mildly amusing how TP is always the first thing to fly off the shelves during a "crisis". I know people who bought literally cases of TP during the covid pandemic and then were upset when the stores wouldn't take it back, LOL.

Anyways, I need to get an order for a Saltasaurus or three in anyhow.

Was going to make a stupid joke here but thought better of it.

Yes, no ifs, ands and buts about that!

I just purchased some birthday presents for my kiddo today and when I got to checkout the prices were massively reduced. Apparently Safari is having a 30% off sale until the 14th. Great timing! Don't bother with the 10% welcome discount tho; can't double dip.

I'm surprised to see the dinosaurs releasing so quickly! Thanks! I can't wait for the birds!

Austroraptor and Osprey are expected soon (hopefully sometime in November).

Most of the other items are expected before the end of the year, but the usual caveat about unexpected delays applies.

I think that I'm basically liking Safari's Saltasaurus, except perhaps the hind claws which look too conspicuous for my taste. I'll probably repaint them to make them blend in more subtly. Any sense of what the scale might be? It will be interesting to compare it in hand with my old Carnegie and Schleich figures.

suspsy

Wow, what a poor quality review.

BTW, has anyone gotten the Austroraptor yet?

Andy was sent a copy, but perplexingly did not do a size comparison with the 2023 Utahraptor.

Yeah, I saw that video and it's certainly odd he didn't compare it to the Utahraptor, I would have thought that was the comparison most people would look forward to seeing.  :P

But I was referring to pics/videos of copies ordered by people, since Andy gets sent the figures to review, and it's been some time since Shane let us know that the figure is now in stock.
