Recent Acquisitions (Archive, March 2012 - July 2018)

Started my own little Bullyland prehistoric mammal (and other animal) collection, now that they are again widely available They are excellent and charming at the same time. Here are, of course, the Chalicotherium, Deinotherium and Mastodonsaurus. Also, bought some Collecta figures (I already owned the Plateosaurus and Ampelosaurus). The excellent Kelenken came in yesterday. Now it is waiting for the Megacerops. I am thinking about buying the Bullyland Megatherium and some other figures too ...

Nice group you got there. The Bully mammals are great figures, I highly recommend them

The baby steg is my favorite part of the new sideshow piece. It actually looks like a baby dinosaur. Almost every other infant dino which I have seen has either looked too cartoonish or looked too much like just a shrunken adult, but this one is spot on!

FedEx delivered my Sideshow Dinosauria Stegosaurus with baby Maquette & skull yesterday!!!! It's such a awesome piece and a magnificent addition to my collection!

Chris, that SS Stego is def HUGE! For some reason, I was thinking they'd make it in scale with their Apato, especially since they lived side by side. On one hand, it would've been cool to see them in scale side by side. But, I guess as an individual sculpt, the Stego would've have been too small as far as SS Maquettes go. Though, I didn't think they'd make him this BIG!

She is def a big girl.. They had been talking about this piece pretty much since the line started..calling it the " center piece " of the Dinosauria collection and a must have..it's easy to see why now.  I just wish I had a better place to display it than the bottom of a shelf..hating putting pieces down there. :/

That stego is giant! Must have cost a fortune

She IS quiet HUGE.. lol  Not too bad really all things considered, yes she is the most expensive one in the line so far at 350.00 plus ship, but like all the others if it were a resin model that needed building and painting it would easily cost 500.00 or more for the quality this go round.

I have them all too (well, no I did not pick the prehistoric "men" or the spinosaurus which is really one of the most dreadful spino figures out there...) love the mammals though

Yeah Takama, it's amazing how a simple repaint can totally change a figure - just look at that Mastodonosaurus repaint that somebody here did. If I painted my figures, I probably wouldn't be as picky as I am now.

Takama, the Bullyland Stego is indeed an awesome figure. Sadly I can't really say the same for their theropods :X They have made some gems in the past though, such as their Iguanodon, crouching Pteranodon and Elasmosaurus.

Oh I thought the "I had some fun with it" comment was a repainting reference for some reason. I was probably looking at repainted figures right before that. My fault. I really don't pay much attention to Bullyland, so I'm not familiar with the figure. It just struck me as a better figure than most of their others, so I assumed it was a repaint.

It all started with that Stego and now I have about 20 different Bullyland figures. Some of their dinosaurs are really ugly, but their mammals are real pieces of art. They're lovely.
