Anyone else here think that the Titanboa is vastly overrated?

I mean the snake is only about 40 feet in length...
The largest anaconda was about 28 feet in length...
and, there are several unconfirmed reports of 'extant' cryptid snakes that dwarf the Titanboa...

Rebor continues to show, tell and tease people about future products, but you never know when they will come out. Recently I saw a comment in Facebook that said that for next year, there is going to be a "Killer Queen T.rex" model.

While anacondas are the heaviest, reticulated pythons can get to 33 ft. If titanoboa was built like anaconda that'd be a pretty massive snake. Still, size isn't that important to me, at least in figures. That's why I don't collect Megalodon - they just look like great whites.

Ditto, though the PNSO Meg  was pretty awesome.

show me a giant snake that ate adult tyrannosaurs and we'll talk.. lol

Rebor making a Titanoboa? Its just a giant version of an Anaconda, what could go wrong...
I am the Dinosaur King!

REBOR might do the same blunder like what they did with the crocs' design with their Titanoboa.

Give it a turtle's head.

Actually that'd be pretty cool...

REBOR could make some pretty cool "sci-fi styled" fantasy-creatures if they wanted to. I'm thinking something ala ARK Survival Evolved's wyverns.

 >:( ;) I finally want REBOR 1:35 ornithopods  ->  Anatotitan, Corythosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Lambeosaurus, Olorotitan, Parasaurolophus .......
My feelings say that they might make wonderful ornithopods. No theropods please for at least the next two years ;D!

I would also like that among the ornitopods both hadrosaurus lambeosaurus and normal hadrosaurus a saurolophus to make a good pair with my favorite and a charonosaurus (figure very undervalued in the toy market) and a shantungosaurus.

It is good news that Rebor focuses on these next two years in prehistoric herbivores is not a bad idea on the part of the company Rebor if it is so.

Regarding the dinosaurs mentioned above, I agree with you Postsaurischian that Rebor made these figure

Faelrin

I think they said Parasaurolophus will be done next year? I sure hope that will be the case. I want to see how they will do one of my favorite dinosaurs. In the mean time I'm still waiting to see how or if they do their Stegosaurus, the "Ankylosaurus" War Pig, and the Triceratops King Trident for this year. I do agree with the suggestion for the others though. If not Rebor, I hope someone will make them (especially Lambeosaurus).

Anatotitan is a synonym of Edmontosaurus.  As for Charonosaurus, I don't think it's undervalued, I think there is just no reason to make it into a figure.  The area where a crest could be on the head of Charonosaurus is not known, so no-one knows what it looks like, as can be seen here: http://www.paleofile.com/Dinosaurs/Ornithopods/Charonosaurus.asp

Additionally, a 2014 study found Charonosaurus to be a species of Parasaurolophus.

Guys i dont expect them to give darn about ornithopods. and i bet that the Parasaurolophus will either be dead, or in the process of getting attacked. Im still waiting for them to give us what they should of gave us in the past.   A LIVEING Tenontosaurus

As cool as it would be, REBOR will never do a living Tenontosaurus; that diorama is finished and they never mentioned even considered it nor did I ever hear anything from fans wanting it other than here at DTF

It's as straight necked as my uncle Geoffery, who never drank a beer in his life!

Shonisaurus

One meter and a half! That is an excessively large figure even for a titanoboa to scale. I read that it will be a flexible figure but what I said still seems very great for a collector who buys figures of dinosaur toys and prehistoric animals of a modest size.

However it reminds me of a science fiction snake does not seem realistic to me although I also have to recognize that snakes do not understand.

From my point of view I would like that figure to be at most thirty or forty centimeters long.

Bucklander

I think the only way to do Titanoboa justice, is to make one swallowing a large contemporary prey animal. That would give it a sense of scale. Otherwise, it's the same problem with Carcarochles megalodon figures looking like Great Whites.

stargatedalek

I'm actually REALLY excited for this. I hope the plastic is heavy enough it will actually feel real in your hands. I absolutely hope they don't back out and make it smaller (I also hope they give it colours of a modern species so I can use it as a 1:1 stand-in).

spinosaurus1

it's alright. not a fan of the head though (not even a single attempt to look at extant boid facial scalations for reference. should have not been surprise given their recent teaser of the upcoming crocdylomorphs. :-\ ) though i can see this being a pretty good figure in the line. one that i might actually pick up.
