I would love a new 1:40 scale Maiasaura with a young one that not in a nest and an Ouranosaurus (my Battat needs a male as I using the mini as a baby for it).  I would also like a 1:40 scale Utahraptor and Gallimimus.

no word on the upcoming 2017 CollectA and Papo yet? not even a hint whatsoever? the suspense is killing everyone.

I just hope it is less than 72% theropods! I would love for them to do a whole year's worth of Triassic or Paleozoic creatures, but that's probably asking too much...

Last year, we didn't start seeing images from CollectA until mid-October. And it wasn't until December that Papo released images. I think we have to continue being patient.

Silvanusaurus

Maybe they will be spurred on to reveal them sooner, in order to counteract Safari's swift thunder-strike of dino-domination for the coming year, which feels almost like a redefining of the playing field for mass-produced dinosaur toys. I'm intrigued to see if CollectA can pull anything out of the bag that doesn't seem underwhelming by comparison. Their best hope probably is in a focus on more obscure species I guess.
Can you imagine if Papo released as many accurate individual figures for release within a single season? That's something to dream about...

Seeing as obscure species have been Collecta's star, defining quality, even back in the bad old days, I think we can trust they'll have something interesting for us one way or another this year. I agree about Safari's 2017 releases being a game-changer, though!

Irritation

What I mean is a 1:70 scale Jobaria since the current one kind of disappointed me.

and the emergence of PNSO as the dark horse brand even if it has limited distribution would really put pressure on the major brands to up the ante even more

If I were Collecta Id release a storm of "yet to be made in figure toy form" prehistoric mammals and Permian creatures. But thats just me.  O:-) and sadly I am not Collecta.  :-\

Neosodon

When is the last time collecta or wild safari made any stegosaurids and ankylosaurs. In the last 5 or so years there has been Sauropelta by safari and Gastonia by collecta (both Nodosaurs) and that is all I can think of. I am hoping for Lexovisaurus and Talararus.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Collecta made a Lexovisaurus already, it's not an amazing figure but it exists. They have various others Thyreophorans, some are not that accurate like Polacanthus, others I consider nice like Minmi, I find that one really cute hehe. Safari it's lacking in both of those groups.

Neosodon

The Polacanthus, Minmi, Gastonia and Sauraplelta are all really great models, I have all 4 but there all nodosaurs. It seems like the other Thyreophoran families have been mostly ignored by collecta and safari in recent years. The ones they have made (collecta Ankylosaurus, Lexovisaurus, Wuerhosaurus and Kentrosaurus) are pretty bad and need to be remade. Safari at least has the Carnegie Ankylosaurus and wild safari Stegosaurus, those are old but still decent. Collecta's only good Thyreophorans are all nodosaurs.

I don't think CollectA kentro is bad, their Miragaia is pretty good in my opinion. I would love more ankylosaurs or stegosaurs from CollectA but I don't see it this year. And about safari probably they will release Ankylosaurus and Euoplocephalus  in coming years if they continue the making updated versions of species previously made in the Carnegie collection.

Dilopho

Their Lexovisaurus IS really nice  :) I recommend it!

suspsy

I'd certainly like to see CollectA release more ankylosaurs. I have most of their current selection, and the only one that's really up to speed is the Gastonia. Tarchia or Pinacosaurus would be great.

I wouldn't mind seeing more ankylosaurs from CollectA. They proved with the Gastonia that they're at least capable of it now. I think we'll see a Brontosaurus this year, and probably Regaliceratops, and at least one theropod that I've barely ever heard of.

I'm 99'99% sure CollectA will bring out a Regaliceratops next year.

suspsy

Ultimately, as long as CollectA continues to maintain their high standards of quality and continue to improve on scientific accuracy, I'm confident that I'll be happy regardless of what they have in store for next year. Even if the assortment is theropod-heavy again.

i wish money to buy all you listed, LOL!

My Preferences apart from dinosaurs are focused on other prehistoric animals like pterodactydeus and prehistoric mammals I hope Papo Collecta or make more than one.

For example, a Arctodus simus would be great, although I would not mind precisely they made a elasmotherium, eobasileus or Uintatherium.
