We need a group of protoceratops, for such a well known species nobody has done any have they?
There is the safari protoceratops but I think it is retired by now. It's not bad but there appears to be bootlegs of it.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

There's the Carnegie protoceratops & nest and, as Neosodon pointed out, the Safari Authentics proto which was eventually made into a (much less detailed) toob figure.

EDIT: Actually the feathered dinos toob protoceratops looks like a different sculpt. Don't have either in hand so I can't say for sure.

But imagine a nice Protoceratops with the same quality of recent ws ceratopsians, that would be very good!

Shonisaurus

My opinion for the year 2018;

There are many dinosaurs that are not represented in the toy market or poorly represented and some despite the millions of years that separate us from their decline and disappearance very well preserved.

At least in these next years they should represent emblematic figures I repeat in the market of the toy since according to wikipedia within the genres of valid dinosaurs could be commercialized more dark figures.

There is also a need for more new species of prehistoric pterosaurs and mammals (epigaulus on the other hand is poorly represented.

On the other hand it is necessary to make reptiles mamiferoides and reptiles especially as prehistoric crocodiles and phitosaurus among other figures.

I would like the companies to take a little risk in making dark or very dark figures and do not stay like it always happens in almost all toy companies in making figures and repeated repeated.

Examples worthy are Collecta, Soutlands Replicas, Kaiyodo, Safari, PNSO and Favorite and to a lesser extent Papo and Recur.

BlueKrono

I think Shonisaurus means "obscure" when he says "dark".

Any  updates on what Safari will offer next year?

Kaprosaurus

I want a Megapiranha paranensis figure and a Corythoraptor.

I would like it to be made by Papo, Safari, Collecta (and Schleich I do not name it because they have advanced in the revelation of figures) marine creatures of Cambrian shrub burgess or insects of the Carbonifero. Would be great for dioramas

John

From Safari Ltd. I would like to see a new updated Styracosaurus albertensis or a Triceratops horridus using the skin impressions of the "Lane" specimen.
Or if they want to do new ones they can't go wrong with Centrosaurus apertus or Chasmosaurus belli.Maybe sculpted by Doug Watson?

I would also like to see CollectA's take on Ceratosaurus nasicornis, with the kid in me wanting it in the "Deluxe" range. ;D

Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

With the leaks of Schleich and the upcoming Safari reveals I better say what I want before it´s too late.

As always say every year, the figures have to be between 1:40 and 1:30 scale ;)

Theropods:
Baryonyx
Suchomimus
Utahraptor
Gallimimus
I would like to see a Carnotaurus made by Safari or Collecta.
Deinonychus
Tarbosaurus
Megalosaurus
Eustreptospondylus

Sauropods:
Something that we have not seen yet in toy form, and like I said, in 1:40, so...somebody give us something BIG!

Marginocephalians:

Although if Collecta or Papo does some of them I am also fine. But yeah, I find myself in a need for a new Triceratops and Styracosaurus between 1:40/1:30, I like the new Schleich Triceratops and I guess I can consider it a "candidate", but the inaccurate front feet bug me.

Thyreophods:
A Stegosaurus ungulatus would be nice and different from the usual S.stenops.
Edmontonia
Scelidosaurus
Tuojiangosaurus

Ornithopods
Iguanodon (You owe us one Papo!)
Edmontosaurus annectens
Corythosaurus
Tenontosaurus
Any other ornithopod, big or small.

Marine creatures:
Opthalmosaurus
Xiphactinus
Platecarpus
Shonisaurus

Pterosaurs:
Something that we have not seen yet in toy form

Also Lets hope that Rebor Sarcosuchus turns out to be better than the first preview, like with Deinosuchus, since I´ve been wanting for a big Sarcosuchus for ages!

OMG, right? It really bugs me when people try to force just "Yi". It's never gonna be a thing, guys.

With only the name Yi can be confused with a female female name not with the dinosaur. The correct thing is Yi Qi.

I also prefer Balaur bondoc to simply Balaur, but I think I may be in the minority.

How long has Papo been teasing about Iguanodon and Giganotosaurus now? Maybe 2018 will finally be the year  ^-^

I'm with you if for no other reason than that "Balaur" by itself refers to a fictional monster.
