The model looks like it is very well sculpted, but the cream colour of the horns remind me of cow horns, which I wouldn't expect to see on a ceratopsian. The horns would have looked slightly better if they were a darker colour.

Well, they're both covered in keratin and are permanent structures, so I think that's a point in favor for the horn texture on this figure.  ;)  I do agree that the color is a little off putting, a darker color would've probably been more likely based on modern animals, but this lighter color is still within the realm of possibility.

Each time new photographs of Safice 2018 triceratops are revealed, I reaffirm that it is the best triceratops figure made to date.  :)

I know I'm not impartial, but I must admit that I have a lot of weakness for both the figures of Safari and Collecta. Without understanding anything about dinosaurs, I think it's the best paleoartistic and palaeoscientific finished figure and I have to admit to making risky comments due to my ignorance, but every year I like Safari more without belittling other toy dinosaur companies that are also magnificent, but this year I am truly excited about the new Safari figures.  :P

I already have the mastodon and the daeodon and I can affirm that they are prehistoric mammals very scientific and very well finished and that they have nothing to envy to the prehistoric mammals of other companies. The daeodon I see very realistic and scientific and with the hooves of the legs very well made. I also celebrate that Safari makes figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals without scales and larger

For those interested in when the malawisaurus, dimetrodon, macrauchenia and hyaenodon of Safari will be available. According to the website of Dejankins will be available approximately on December 18 in your online store and I guess in the rest of online stores in the United States. I pass some links that testify that what I say is true.

I wonder why they are releasing some so much later. Do they just want to get some extra Christmas sales in?

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

My triceratops came in today!

That Triceratops is absolutely massive. I knew it was rather large compared to other ceratopsians, but that's really impressive. Definitely looking like a King next to his subjects. Think I know how I'll display mine with the Regaliceratops, after I receive them in my recent order, and when and if there is a Styracosaurus. They can be its 'shield' and 'sword'.

:o ;D Yowzer, that trike is huge!! I keep glancing at my Nasutoceratops on the bedside cabinet and trying to imagine the trike next to it ^-^

I know triceratops was the largest ceratopsian, so is it to scale(more or less) with the others in the picture?

Shonisaurus

The triceratops is huge, it is the big brother of the whole group of ceraptosides.

But we must specify that the regaliceratops is also the most voluminous after that incredible triceratops.

By the way, in the second photograph, I would like to know to which company the immense triceratops that accompanies Safari belongs.  :o I do not know the company.  ???

Anyway, this Triceratops Safari is by far the best one that has been done to date of Safari ceraptodoses and I am very happy that Safari has lost "the shame" of making figures without scale.  8)

I prefer figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals of reasonable size to small without that it takes genius to any toy company, always that the figure is well done.  :D

Most of them; pachyrhinosaurus would have been around the same size as triceratops and the vagaceratops should probably be a bit bigger to be in scale.

Just eyeballing it of course.

By my estimates, the scales are roughly:

1:15-1:20 Vagaceratops
1:25-1:30 Einiosaurus
1:30 Nasutoceratops
1:30-1:35 Diabloceratops
1:40 Pachyrhinosaurus

I don't have the two new ones yet, but I'm guessing the Regaliceratops will be roughly 1:25-1:30 and the Trike will be around 1:35.

Doug Watson has confirmed the Triceratops is 1:35 scale, to go with this year's Tyrannosaurus. Also, based on my calculations, the Regaliceratops is 1:30 scale, as the real animal was about 16 feet long and 6 feet tall, and the model is 6.75 inches long and 2.75 inches tall.

It's prehistoric wildlife, but, at least the measurements are right.

Looks like it's Trike day! mine arrived today too.

Here against it's nemesis

And here three of the big ones from Hell Creek (missing the Edmontosaurus still)

I'd also like to know the identity of the other Triceratops in the two shot - it's a beauty!

Faelrin

I should (hoping) have mine by next week. I'm so excited. The anky and trike look great alongside the T. rex. I wonder how the Anzu would look alongside them. It would be nice to see the Edmontosaurus remade, so it can join these.
