That Triceratops looks so good. It doesn't look too out of place next to that Papo Acrocanthosaurus with all its sculpted detail. I can't wait to display this one alongside the Feathered T. rex, as well as the Ankylosaurus, eventually the Anzu too. I find it interesting that it does indeed have pink along the edges of its frill, and horns. I think it's a subtle nice contrasting touch considering most of it is a simple grey color.

The body looks great but something about the scale texture on the head is just too samey for me.

NO everything has been Released for 2018.

Bokisaurus

Cool triceratops, however I don't really care much for those yellow design on the head. It ruins it for me, just looks to bright and sloppy to belong to such beautiful model. I often find that Safari figures are too heavily handed in the paint application on some of the designs that clashes with the more natural paint ap of the body.

Shonisaurus

From my honest point of view and I know that I am not impartial for me is the best triceratops made to date by a toy company and not because it is of the brand Safari (one of my favorites with Collecta), at first glance it seems very cool and that I do not understand of ceraptosidos, and honestly this year Safari is doing (that yes along with the rest of the companies) the best figures made so far only matched with their novelties of last year, and without underestimating at all their precedents in the market.

I sincerely like more figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals by Safari of acceptable size medium-large or large than the medium-sized figures to which we were accustomed.

As I said in other messages and I know I repeat a lot I prefer bigger figures, in prehistoric animals, although they are not made to scale scale figures that sincerely, although they are great, it takes away the charm of a medium or large figure.

It is one of my reasons why I also celebrate that the Collecta company has been encouraged this year to make almost all its figures of a more attractive size and that it has only made two at standard size and I exclude the brontosaurus that although unfortunately it is not of the size that one would like is an extra long figure although I suppose it will not be as voluminous as the basilosaurus went though this corresponds to the Collecta forum and I simply quote it as an example.

Concavenator

Thanks for the pics Blade! That's one gorgeous model indeed,I too think it is the best Triceratops figure done to date.

PhilSauria

Yep, put me down as a fan of this one as well. Already have a space cleared for it at the front of the Triceratops herd. Thanks for posting the pics.

Joey

I also very enjoy the look of this Trike. The colors are great, the pose is fantastic, and the sculpt looks gorgeous. The only nit pick that I had at first, was that the scales on the body look a little large for an animal that was larger than an elephant.

Filled out an order from Safari today for the Mastodon, Daeodon, Anzu, Megacerops, Uintatherium, and the super-cool sunfish with stand, using their 35% off sale. Whole thing came to about $42 shipped, so the Mastodon was essentially free! Bummed that the Malawisaurus is still not available since I really wanted that one, but it just gives me something else to look forward to.

Can't wait to put that Mastodon next to my Carnegie mammoth on the shelf in my office. What a pair they shall be.

It's pretty amazing that in one fell swoop, Safari has made owning most of the Mojo mammals (which are the only decent work Mojo has ever done) completely irrelevant. The Safari models really are that much better, except maybe the Hyaenodon, which I think Mojo executed just as well.

They said on their FB it won't work on anything that is considered a Hot Deal, so keep that in mind. I'm hoping to take advantage of this to get the American Mastodon, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Sauropelta, and Regaliceratops. That would knock out most of my wishlist, sooner then later.

Sauropelta? You mean the one from a few years back (2015 I think?)....wanted to make sure they didn't sneak a new Sauropelta in on us!

Yep, the 2015 one. I'm a bit behind on this collecting game, so I've been adding on some of the older figures to my orders, alongside some of the newer ones. I got the Iguanodon and Ammonite with my last batch from Safari Ltd, and I got the Yutyrannus when I ordered the Feathered T. rex from DeJankins shortly afterwards. I decided to throw on the Sauropelta to that black friday order, since it's about time I get that one.

By the way, unfortunately the dimetrodon, malawisaurus, hyaenodon and macrauchenia are still not marketed.

I fear that they will not be commercialized in Europe their figures until the first third of the year 2018.

Pawnosuchus

I'm somewhat intriqued by the Safari prehistoric mammals. I apologize if this has been asked before but does anyone know what scale those figures are in?  I need something close to 1-40 to fit in my diorama. Thanks.

Jorgesaurus

they could put a picture of the new triceratops together with new ankylosaurus and feathered t.rex

Are you asking for someone to take a comparison picture? I can likely do that when I receive the figures from my order, assuming someone doesn't do it sooner.

Lovely Trike, but the horns are not very attractive.

I would say the horns are the most appealing part. They give it distinction, worthy of the name "three-horned face".

PhilSauria

That is a terrific Triceratops! Can't wait for it to become available here in Australia, possibly late December I believe. I will be tempted to add a bit of weathering to the horns when I receive one of my own, but that's just my preference.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It does have a bit of weight too, forgot to mention that.  :)
