ADDITIONS:

Couple of deliveries and one purchase this week, a bit of a mixed bag.

Saw this one listed by several sellers on Ali Express with prices all over the place. Another not too bad Chinasaur original, as it does not look like it was 'inspired' by anything that I'm aware of. Pretty decent size, quite solid and made of a slightly rubbery material. Stands fine (but for how long?) on the enlarged feet that bipedal Dinosaur models often end up with to stay upright, still not as oversized as some of Mattel's or Schleich's. I liked the look of it so hit 'buy'.

Just when I'd given up on any new Mattels, but still kept an eye on the shelves anyway, along comes this. A restock at our local Target (but still no Plesiosaurus - will I ever get one?) bought a few new faces but I went for this one. This colour variant is new to me, the third colour variation I believe.

And my Dakosaurus turned up without me having to wait too long after I placed the order, from one of the sellers that I tend to pick up PNSO from now. (Paint app mishaps retouched)

Six boneheads now after the arrival of the mystery model, so I put them all together for a group portrait.

Package due this week from Mini Zoo with more PNSO - the Giganotosaurus and the Ankylosaurus finally payed off.

The little make over on the Dakosaurus really improves it. And the Stygimoloch looks pretty good.

Killekor

Thanks for the photos, Philsauria! Both figures look great for different reasons. The Dakosaurus is great, the Stymoloch is striking and the monolophosaurus is a nice action figure. Congratulations for having them!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

The photos and comments that PhilSauria makes of the various acquisitions honor the figures. The dakosaurus is very beautiful and the stygimoloch that I bought at Christmas at a fairly affordable price I sincerely recommend it to anyone, both adult and child who is interested in the collection of prehistoric animals. The stygimoloch shown is superior to its GeoWorld counterpart and the PNSO dakosaurus is my first dakosaurus to a size much larger than all the dakosaurus that had PNSO and Safari that were miniatures and is a superior figure to its miniature PNSO counterpart .

I love the bonehead herd photo. Always a pleasure to visit this thread.

Halichoeres

I just gave into temptation on that mystery Stygimoloch myself. It was my favorite dinosaur as a kid, so I'm really loving how much attention it's getting all of a sudden.

Nice, I saw that figure once and I was not sure who made it or how good the quality really is. Looks pretty nice actually, great set you got there! ;D

THE VIEW FROM MY DESK

When I swivel my chair around from the screen and look up this is (part) of what I see and I thought that it was a view worth sharing.

The core of my collection is sauropods and though I like these Dinosaurs I'm still a bit picky and don't grab everything that has a long neck and tail. Even so I have managed to cover the top of a large bookcase and a few other spaces around the room with over 60 plastic realizations of these magnificent animals.

Libraraptor

Nice view indeed.  Being this ambitious with sauropods,  how do you like Schleich Barapasaurus?

ceratopsian

A fabulous forest of necks indeed!

I too have been drawn to the idea of seeing some models in my study while I work, instead of consigning them all the my model room.  I have only a long narrow ledge available, as the bookcases above the cupboards run full height to the ceiling.  But still, the ledges are perfect for accommodating PNSO miniatures.  I'm in the process of experimenting!

PhilSauria

Thanks for looking in, and leaving comments.

I don't have the Schleich Barapasaurus, thought I considered it at one stage. For my tastes it just falls a little too far into the stylized end of the spectrum that Schleich sometimes runs to, much as their newest Brachiosaurus does.

Shonisaurus

Magnificent collection of PhilSauria sauropods, sincerely because of their size, sauropods are the most impressive dinosaurs. I congratulate you on your collection and magnificent photography.

NEW ADDITIONS - BIG SAUROPOD FIGURES NOT YET EXTINCT!!

I had some other new arrivals ready to post but as these two were mentioned in posts recently and nobody has as yet posted images so they have jumped the queue. These ticked a lot of boxes for me in terms of size, science and sculpt but those paint jobs! The (relatively) smaller one will be the recipient of a make-over but I am warming to the colours on the (even) larger one. (and besides - I don't have that much paint!) Named them BIG (at 56cms long) and BIGGER (measuring 78cm). They are hollow and made of soft rubbery PVC so if anyone has any tips on what sort of primer would be best for this material I'd much appreciate it. The have no brand on them but they are stamped with 'Diplodocus", however I'm seeing Apatosaurus here, especially when compared with one of Scott Hartman's skeletal artworks of that animal.

BIG, and comparisons

Link?, i want to see those

PhilSauria

These were on Ali Express but I just checked and there's a message 'this item is no longer available', which is a pity as they had a not-too-bad Mosasaurus I was going to order, but things have a way of turning up with other sellers on Ali or even becoming available again with that seller before too long so I'd search 'Apatosaurus' every now and then and you may get a result. They were also on eBay, but at a much higher price.

I don't bother with amazon, but feel free to check them out yourself; they very rarely send to Australia, which pisses me off no end!, as I think I may have mentioned once or twenty times in the past.

They are a good find.  Personally I wouldn't race to change the colours on the bigger one.  I think they actually work quite well!
