would the dioramas from the bigger figures work for these smaller figures? Obviously the nests and protoceratops skull wouldn't work but would the rocks and trees look too big?

Lynx

I don't think they will be too big. If anything the trees seem a bit too small for the original large figures.
An oversized house cat.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Yeah, the trees are closer to scale with 1:40 scale figures than 1:6 scale figures.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Faelrin

I took some pics with the prototypes alongside my forest accessory set earlier on in the thread way back in November 2019 if these would be of use to anyone:

Granted it's probably still too small with the 1:18 ceratopsians, but it fits alongside them much better then the 1:6 figures (unless it was a young tree perhaps? I'm not sure though). I think there was discussion in avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres collection thread about the scale of those trees a while back too?

I'm reminded of how Sideshow works their point system.  i'm pretty sure David also does the odd sale as well. I think it roughly works out the same if you preorder through backerkit or get 10% off seems like.

Yeah, I guess it isn't that much of a difference.

Halichoeres

avatar_terrorchicken @terrorchicken Yeah, based on the growth habit of the trees, they really don't make sense at 1:6. They work quite well for 1:40 dinosaurs, and that's where I use them, but they'd work okay for 1:18 I think. I talk about that more here, as avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin pointed out: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.msg192579#msg192579

So in case anyone missed it, but in the FB comments for the new Protoceratops figure, it will have a different paint scheme, may eventually get a 1/6 version (next year at the earliest possibly), and possibly Psittacosaurus will get a multiple species treatment as well. It will also be sold individually. Also when asked about if there were still plans for any of the scrapped basal ceratopsians, he said there may be more later on.

thanks for the pics! Yeah I always thought they were small for the raptors but since like you I dont know much about trees, maybe they're supposed to be saplings. So they should work even better with the smaller 1/18 figures.  ;D

forgive me if this has been asked before, which it probably has, but I was communicating with Everything Dinosaur a few weeks ago and was told that Ceratopsian Wave 2 was expected in late June.  Is that time still realistic?  I know how the virus situation can cause things to change quickly.

Admittedly this one kinda flew under my radar but really liking how the color scheme came out for the Einiosaurus!
