It's probably the Carno. Lighting in the photos can make colors look different than in hand.

I think it's the Carnotaurus's tail.  I'm curious about the figure that has its eye looking through the box, it looks like a feathered animal.

Irritation

I can't confirm this, but I think I see an Ankylosaurid head coming out of one of the boxes.

avatar_Doug Watson @Doug Watson Do you choose the colors of your sculpts?
If so,did you base your Citipati sculpt on any particular species?
It does remind me a lot of a chinese duck of some kind

Lizerd

Makes me think of those aliens bursting out of the boxes, we can only wait and see  :))

To me that eye belongs to and eagle.

I can't wait to see what else they have made for 2019, for the prehistoric, fantasy, and extant figures.

Yes I do choose the colours for the prehistoric pieces but the Citipati wasn't based on any particular species just birds in general including ducks. I just played with colours until I got something I liked but from the beginning I wanted that iridescent green and blue on it.

This post from Safari has pictures of the revealed figures and also confirms that there will be more prehistoric figures coming.

avatar_Jose S.M. @Jose S.M. Thanks for posting that link. Good stuff there.

While I didn't notice it in Spinodude's video, I'm really glad the Woolly Rhino has the dark band depicted. I recently learned about this and how it was commonly depicted in cave paintings. Now I'm just wondering what scale it is in (hopefully the same or close as the Woolly Mammoth).

Safari needs to make a collection or line of future animal figures. I'd love to see some future is wild style animals from my favorite company.

Since Safari has confirmed in that blog post that there's more in store for 2019,could you confirm if there are any more sculpt that you sculpted?

Also I would like to ask you something.I believe you said that you sculpted  the Tyrannosaurus (the one that was released in 2017) in 2015,didn't you?

Just for curiosity, when did you sculpt these 2019 models?

Thanks :D

mgaguilar

Is it just me, or is the paint application and tonalities used for the Prestosuchus very similar to the Acrocanthosaurus?
I mean, granted, different lighting and the overall detailing of paint is different, but they do seem very alike.
Is Safari starting the "themed colorations" trend now? (Like Papo's funny "rainbow" colorations)

As always I can only talk about pieces that have been revealed. I did the T rex in 2016 and I sculpted these 2019 pieces in 2017.

Oh wow, that Carnotaurus is great! Better put it down on the list methinks  :))

It seems to me another great year for Safari,
so many thanks, again, to Doug Watson.

Sincerely Doug, I'm excited about the figures you're going to market this year 2019,

The carnotaurus looks spectacular scientist like the rest of prehistoric animals that you have done this year and very superior to the carnegie that was my favorite. Its texture and colors are impressive.

The woolly rhinoceros Safari 2019 is a super detailed and realistic figure with the typical hump and correctly placed toes, the hair is superdetail.

The prestosuchus Safari 2019 is seen with the realistic scales and the digits of the correct legs and with differentiated teeth. It makes a very good pair with the postosuchus of Safari.

The styracosaurus is for me the best figure of styracosaurus dethroning the Collecta brand although they are very matched congratulate Doug for doing it on a large scale 1:25 makes a very good team with the rest of ceraptosidos, although I know that last year Safari and in concrete Doug made two ceraptosides (triceratops and regaliceratops) I do not think they do this year more than the styracosaurus but it's worth two figures of ceraptosides ..

The camarasaurus is a remarkable figure that will make a beautiful duo with that of the Carnegie brand. I congratulate Doug for doing that species since in the main companies of toy dinosaurs that figure was not well represented because the Tiptoi camarasaurus does not convince me (in fact I do not have it in my collection).

Finally the citipati looks great with that realistic look of bird or goose and to a formidable size makes me forget my demands that a company does the longed for gigantoraptor this supplies it with difference.

On the other hand I congratulate Doug for two reasons:

1ยบ) For its six figures exquisitely sculpted and one hundred percent (and I say this with all the respect in the world, especially to the rest of the DTF members and those who disagree with my opinion and who deserve all the respect in the world) I congratulate Doug that his six figures are made in one piece, without any articulated body parts (for me it is a point in his favor) and at the same time detailed.

2nd) I congratulate Doug for his brilliant and eminent presence, it is a luxury to have him as a member of DTF and to deign to speak with us, an attitude that does not save any exception other sculptors and representatives of other companies.

For me it is a gift from Heaven that Doug is among us.  :)
