avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono I'm really sorry. I know how you feel because it has happened to me with all my uncles, parents, grandparents and cousins. Life goes on but it is painful. Do not let yourself be overcome by grief and think positive. Cheer up! life is an obstacle course. Time is soothing to all problems, and the pain you feel will lessen with time.

My support, you know where you can go. If I can help you with something within my possibilities, please contact me. What has been said, life goes on. Think of it as just "see you later."

avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono  so sorry for your loss.
I have been at a lost for the last few month, I lost both my grandfathers not to Covid, but I felt helpless as most is us couldn't be together to grieve and comfort each other. It was difficult not to be able to even travel to see them when they were sick before they passed away.
I lost my grandfather in the Philippines end of July, and my other in Florida 3 weeks ago.
Zoom offered a little comfort at least.

And on a more closer note, one of my coworker tested positive last week so we are all on high anxiety.
Stay safe everyone.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin  hope you and your parent continue to recover.

Faelrin

B @Bokisaurus Sorry to read about your losses too. Hopefully you have not or do not catch this. I hope things will be alright for you.

B @Bokisaurus and avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono Sorry for your losses.  :'(I pray for you and your families. Stay safe everyone.

Crackington

Very sorry to hear about this avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono and you too B @Bokisaurus, very sad times. My thoughts are with you.

My wife's elderly uncle died of the virus in Bosnia last week and his family have it too. My brother in law is a doctor there and they are worried about the health service coping as Bosnia still has a fragile economy from the 1990s war. The vaccines can't come soon enough.

Take care everyone.

B @Bokisaurus My condolences on the passing of your two grandparents. I know how you feel. In my case, when my poor grandfather passed away, at the age of 100, he was about 101, and he plunged my life into a deep depression that lasted for many years. Courage friend, life goes on! They are surely in a good place. This is temporary.

avatar_Crackington @Crackington I am very sorry for the death of your wife's uncle and my best wishes for his family to recover from Covid-19. My deepest condolences.

Well uh our financial situation is getting pretty bad, and ultimately we're resorting to a gofundme being made in a desperate attempt to get funds to get caught up on our rent before we end up evicted in the middle of winter here. Since it does contain some personal info (my mother's first and last name), can something like that be shared here? Just trying to get the word out as best I can really.

Edit: I guess I should also mention I've also been thinking about the worse case scenario that I would need to part with some of my figures for funds as well. Hoping I won't need to resort to doing that though.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I'm very sorry about what is happening but you have to look at things from the positive point of view. Money is important but it is not everything in life, the most important thing is one's life. As a good saying goes "everything has a solution in this life except death".

avatar_Takama @Takama  I am very saddened that not one of your members has contracted coronavirus, I hope he recovers soon.

avatar_Takama @Takama, sorry, for users with an inverted comma in their name tagging doesn't work automatically. But you can tag them manually with bbcode.

E.g. [ member=4 ]Takama[ /member ] (without spaces)

To everyone in this thread being affected directly and indirectly by Covid-19, and especially to anyone who has lost someone, you have my deepest sympathies.

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus I get what you are saying, but without enough money to pay rent, there is the very real and dangerous possibility that my family could face homelessness in the middle of winter as we have nowhere we could go. I really hope things improve for us soon so this does not happen. I am certainly anxious right now.

I also was really shocked to learn Victoria has tested positive for this. I hope it goes smoothly for her, especially in regards to any potential lingering symptoms.

I really wish all the best to Victoria Cantina and to all the others here with health problems.
Just a prayer (seeing that video): please, don't wear soft, colored, washable face masks against Covid-19.
They are not medical-approved devices.
Their utility against viruses could vary from none to low level.
If you have to stay in public, please use medical protections only; I mean white FFP-2 or KN95 face masks.
They are not 100% safe but have an higher grade of defense against viruses (+ safe social distance + hands washed).
Even a FFP2 / KN95 face mask has to be changed every 4-5 hours of use.
Please, be careful: everyone' health is the most important thing of all.
Stay safe.
:)

ps. ..due to my work, I'm doing test for Covid almost every week..

So more bad news, but I suppose that isn't surprising. My dad's paycheck and bonus this week are much less then we expected. Certainly not enough to get us caught up on rent. Our gofundme has stalled at $300.

I really don't know what to do at this point. I guess I could sell some of my things off but I don't know if it will even be enough or be there in time. I guess I will start researching how much some of my stuff goes for. There will probably be no turning back but it would be better then getting stuck in a motel room with my family for a year like what has happened in the past, or worse homelessness.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I am very sorry that you are financially bad, in my case my situation is not buoyant either although obviously not as critical as yours. I advise you to do war economy, for my part I sold my broken silver chain to a speculator selling gold and silver objects and shared my lottery tickets with a co-worker upon payment by my colleague from part of the amount of the lottery, with that money I made the Christmas purchase. On the other hand, I plan to sell my television since since my father passed away I have not seen it and sincerely it seems to me that it is unnecessary to have that appliance without using it when I can take advantage of it. In my case I am doing a war economy. To great evils great remedies.

Crackington

I was really sorry to hear this Faelrin and hope things get better. Thanks for sending me your
mum's gofundingg link by email. I hope other Forumites who are able can help you and your family too in these awful times.

Mrs Crackington is training to be a psychologist and has also suggested that you try and keep hold of some of your dinos if you can, as it's good for your mental well-being. Keep posting on here too and helping on the DinoToy Collectors site, it'll continue to give you a valuable release from all of this pressure.

I hope our donation helps out a bit.

Well, Canada now has over 15,000 dead. The US has over 350,000 dead. And more than 1.8 million are dead worldwide.

I have no words beyond that.  :(

It still boggles my mind that people who believe this virus is fake are real. Have they been living under a rock, because millions are infected and sick everyday.  And they call us, those who take precautions and safety measures fools. All I wish is that they will realise what needs to be done and everything will be back to normal. One of my teachers and his family got covid, and he doesnt seem so good right now,  and I'm worried about him. Such a nice guy, he is now at risk of dying. On the bright side, last time I saw him, which was the day before winter break(which is going to end tomorrow)  he seemed better. So I hope he is fine and so is his family
