Papo has announced that they will be retiring six of their prehistoric products this year:
- Giganotosaurus.
- Carnotaurus.
- Blue Oviraptor.
- Plesiosaurus.
- Brown running Tyrannosaurus rex.
- Therizinosaurus.

So if you’re hoping to add any of those to your collection, better act while you still can!

I remember when that brown running Rex, in its original (2012, I think) version was being sold from 500-1000 dollars, once it became scarce and before being replaced by a re-release. I still have my one which I had, by chance, found in a Mastermind retail outlet in Toronto. Never even considered selling it.
The Carnotaurus might have been the best of this retiring lot. I still display it among my more modern Safari, PNSO and HLG figures.
That’s not the same T. rex as the one that’s being retired, though. The one you’re referring to was an ultra-rare variant that hasn’t been seen anywhere in years; the retired one was mass produced and widely available.
