That said I do agree with you. It is fantastic being able to see the diversity in animals they've done so far (though of course mostly animals). I do have a few not opened or on display just yet, such as the Apatosaurus I was lucky to find and buy half off and Carcharodontosaurus I got earlier in the year. I've been wanting to take images of them before opening them but haven't had the energy to do so because of my depression. Same reason I haven't reviewed the Legacy T. rex Escape set as planned.

Really hoping I can still find and get my hands on the Ouranosaurus (my pal in Germany said he will keep an eye out thankfully). And I'm hoping the Kentrosaurus and Pentaceratops will still be available next month.

Being as selective as I am I have let a few of the toys that I liked slip through the cracks. I didn't think I wanted them, but now I realize that I do and it's kinda too late. There are also a few I've bought and then regretted. For the most part I'm pleased with my collection and with the exception of the Scutosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, and Amargasaurus I've been lucky enough to have a chance at all the toys  I genuinely wanted. I hope you're able to fill the gaps in your collection.

I have seen your other pictures. I've always admired the collection, even if I've never commented on it before. If I had the means I would totally collect the entire line and display them in their own room or something. Loose and in boxes. lol

@Crackington Thanks for the suggestion about the pizza things. Would have never thought about those. Also I got the tray idea from @Loon thread. They had such a great display made with so many of them back when they were still active here.

@Jose S.M. @Gothmog the Baryonyx Indeed it is the PNSO Huayangosaurus. Charming little figure. I hope to add their other stegosaurs to my collection someday.

Are the Ouranosauruses only being sold in Europe? I have yet to see one here in the States.

I got mine in the U.S. but it was off of Amazon. I never saw one in a store. It's still on there but now it is up to $30.

So sorry to hear that you've been dealing with that. I've had my down times as well, and it can really kill any love for the hobby. I'm happy you've been able to get the energy back, though, and I hope things get even better.

I'm so jealous of your Paleozoic stuff. Every time you see those Takara figures, I get one step closer to buying them. Also, I don't know if I missed it, but I remember you wanting a more accurate dunkleosteus, are you considering the PNSO?

@Loon Yeah I'm sorry you've had to deal with that, and thanks. To catch you up to speed (unless I mentioned this in this thread earlier on, can't remember), things have been super rough for me this year ever since my father lost his job, through no fault of his own, and prior to that was denied disability, a few months back. Never mind the trouble we dealt with earlier and late last year after we all had covid. That was a good part of my family's income and means of getting bills paid on time down the drain. He is trying to get SS but it is a long waiting game. The job situation for everyone has been shaky too, which doesn't help. I've gone back and forth numerous times on trying to decide if I want to sell things off or not, not just because of space concerns, but legit financial desperation. Lucky we had gotten assistance through the Volunteers of America that covered several months of rent, but we are own our own next month.

Regarding the Paleozoic stuff, well I gotta say it's kind of how I feel seeing all those CollectA figures in your collection I'm behind on, haha. The Takara ones are pretty nice, and pair nicely alongside the Kaiyodo and Favorite ones. Yes you would be correct about the Dunkleosteus thing. I'm still holding out a tiny bit of hope for an updated Safari Ltd one, but I might bite for the PNSO once I'm doing better financially, and get caught up on paying some things off. I really do like how they did the jaw articulation on it, and that it has a fluked tail at least. Coloration is pretty pleasing to me too. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the placement of the dorsal fin. On a similar note I still don't have a Dimetrodon either. I'm curious to see if PNSO will do one or not. Not that I'm in any particular rush at the moment, lol.

@Faelrin oh, sorry to hear all that. Even if it isn't much of a condolence, I do hope everything starts working out sooner than late and wish you and yours the best of luck.

As for the dunkleosteus, I can see where your coming from. I've been a bit out of the loop as far as newer prehistoric figures go, and kind of assumed it was overall better than the others, after reading Haliocheres' thread, I'm not so convinced. I would love to see an updated one from safari, as well.

@Faelrin I am very sorry for what is happening to your father and to your family in general, especially in the work environment. I also personally have work problems, I have to pass an opposition and my groin hernia cannot be opened because they would have to operate on me and I would lose all option. Hopefully this next year will be for you and for the rest of us who are members of the DTF a year full of health, work, money and also many dinosaur toys and experiences in the forum.

I'll be honest I didn't know where to post this, so eh why not here. But anyways I had been missing my Takara Tomy Dunkleosteus head for months. Thought I had lost it for good while cleaning the one day and thought it slipped off the figure into a bag of recyclables I had taken out after. No to my surprise I found it buried underneath my stuffed animal pile on my bookcase while do some cleaning and packing last night. I was so happy about finding this again I wanted to share. Just too bad the body is in storage now but I'll hold onto this in the meantime until it can be reunited with it someday. Also yes my hands really are that small in case anyone of you are wondering. It is not a big figure.

That's a lucky find!  Also really good you didn't discard the body when you thought the head was gone. Otherwise you would have really been kicking yourself!

Yeah that's true. But I figured if it didn't turn up before moving out I could also sculpt it a new one. But well now I don't need too. Just a matter of time before it can be reunited. Also had a great idea of getting a second one if possible, to modify the tail so it can be a youngster for the Favorite Dunkleosteus, but that could be ways off though.

Well I haven't posted here in a while, but at least between yesterday and today there is some stuff to show. Already shared this stuff in the latest acquisitions thread, but may as well share it here as well.

First is the Life game and figures that arrived yesterday. I went into more detail about it in my post last night, so please read that for more info.

I still have a bit on my wishlist (including the new 2 base pack I had to hold off on for the moment). Those being the Tenontosaurus corpse, the Woodland Stegosaurus (the only place I saw it in stock still recently was Aliexpress), baby Stegosaurus Melon, King Trident Triceratops (broken horn version, pre-ordered on BBTS), baby Triceratops Hazelnut, and maybe the Saurophaganax (not sure what color yet though).

As much as I'd like the Acrocanthosaurus, I think my chance of getting one is long gone now, and at least there's the PNSO one available now.

I'm sorry to hear there were some broken miniatures! Were they the loose ones or the ones in bubble wrap?

@Halichoeres Thanks for the concern. I think I broke two of them (Haootia, and Climatius) pulling them out of the bubble wrap, maybe, unless they were already like that. I think the Ishnacanthus just didn't have the base glued on? Not sure. Looks that way anyways. Unfortunately can't recall if the Megalograptus and Furcacauda was in the bubble wrap or not.

Nothing I'm too upset about though. All the pieces are accounted for, and can be glued back on. I'm surprised I didn't break the Pirania either, considering I totally stabbed my finger with one of its sharp spikes, as I pulled it out of the bubble wrap.

Honestly though, and other than the Spriggina that is missing, I'm super satisfied with all of these. So glad to have them now. It's not everything I like from these periods (not including the ones I intentionally skipped because they were in my collection already like Anomalocaris, Opabinia, etc), but it's a good bulk of it, and many I didn't even know about prior (like Dinomischus) that became instant new favorites. That reminds me I need to shoot her a message to let her know I have them now.

I truly hope she can do more of these some day, such as from the Carboniferous, and Permian period at least. Lots of untapped potential there, aside from other fan favorites like Diplocaulus, Tullimonstrum, Dimetrodon, Scutosaurus, etc.

Lovely acquisitions, nice to see more of the game of life models, and nice to see more of the Rebor Tyrannosaurus in hand pics. Funny to see how big the Ceratosaurus and Carnotaurus are next to it.

Yeah safe to say they are a bit out of scale with each other, but they look nice side by side. Too bad I don't have any of my shelves atm, as they'd make for quite a nice display (especially if I can get around to the others on my wishlist, which would make for nice little scenes, with the exception of the Carnotaurus on its lonesome).

Edit: I did this earlier today. Makes a nice little display for the meantime. Hoping to do some catching up next month with the HC Ceratosaurus, Triceratops, etc. Maybe if the Dilophosaurus is out by then I'll grab that one too.

Yeah, the Carboniferous especially is suuuper neglected. I would love to see some of its primitive insects and fish! Bear Gulch formation, Scottish and West Virginia coal biota, lots of possibilities.

Getting this set was a spur of the moment thing that I ordered when @brettnj shared it in a group email that went out. Nice little set of some of my favorite dinosaurs. I really like the Spinosaurus, and Deinocheirus, the most of the bunch here.

Been wanting a figure of Arsinoitherium (since Safari Ltd's is retired, and CollectA's is too large to fit in with my other mammals), Dinornis, and Synthetoceras for quite some time now. Unfortunately all my other prehistoric mammals, etc are in storage right now, so I can't get any comparisons. Eventually I hope to have them back on display again someday, alongside these and the new Kaiyodo additions. The Meiolania here is also the second one in my collection now. The other I have is the Kaiyodo Dinotales one, which is now in storage. A rarely made genus, and so I felt obligated to get it. Perhaps some day I'll get the Kaiyodo Titanis to do a comparison with Eikoh's, as well as some of those other Japanese moa figures out there to compare with the Eikoh one.

Like the above I've been wanting a figure of Thylacosmilus for quite some time. Very glad to see Kaiyodo do such a beautiful addition. The others tickled my fancy and so I got them as well. I'm guessing the Kaiyodo Platybelodon is possibly more accurate then the Eikoh version, but both are nice additions.

Not sure how these will scale alongside other Hell Creek animals in my collection, what with most (with the exception of the recent Rebor Tyrannosaurus), in storage now, and might be too small, but I'd probably take that over too big however. The Ornithomimus is clearly the star of these two though, and aside from the plethora of Deinocheirus figures, is probably the most accurate ornithomimosaur on the market now.

I already have the original set of all of these, and I couldn't resist this lovely repainted version. Makes up for the fact the others are packed up in storage right now, except the original Dunkleosteus head, which was got separated from the body, lost, and recovered amidst packing things (see one of my earlier posts in this thread). The Anomalocaris also has some yellow markings on the belly that are worth mentioning. The colorations are apparently derived from a manga series called 恐竜キングダム  or "Dinosaur Kingdom" which I'll link the website for below, which I'm not familiar with unfortunately.

Worth also mentioning I have the Kaiyodo Great Leaps Anomalocaris, and once they arrive in November, the F-Toys Confect ball jointed Anomalocaris (and Hallucigenia), ordered through brettnj as well. As if I really needed this many Anomalocaris figures in my collection, but I can't get enough it seems. A collection within a collection.

In total I currently have the original pink Takara Tomy ARTS, Favorite Cambrian set blue and yellow, Safari Ltd Cambrian Life Toob, and Yowie figures. The others I actually have stashed in a container I intended bringing with me. I probably should have just held onto the original set of these, considering how small they were anyways. Now that's going to bug me that it could be a bit of a wait before i get them back on hand again.

Very cool little set depicting scenes from the Jurassic Park trilogy. Love the Velociraptor hatchling, easily the most screen accurate toy of it, and the little scenes with the others. Can't help but the think the tree of the Brachiosaurus set looks like a piece of broccoli though, lol. There was also a recent JW set, but I wasn't as interested in that one.

Pyroraptor is easily one of my favorite new species from Jurassic World Dominion (despite its lackluster role in the film, but it is great to have in JWE2 anyways), and this is much more accurate then the Mattel one (the Captivz figures also are). I also have the Ania figure ordered through brettnj as well. I'll have to get a comparison of these two once I get it in hand. That said I'll probably be picking up the Mattel set soon, so I can probably compare all three eventually.

Worth noting with how super tiny the decals were, some I put on ended up a bit crooked, notably on the little door flap thing that does move in and out. There were also little pieces to assemble the Gacha capsules which can be placed inside the machine's top part. There were also extra decals included on the sticker sheet. Backup's perhaps? I'll hunt for a review to see if I didn't forget to add any. Thank goodness there were images included in the pamphlet for how to assemble this since I don't understand Japanese. Granted I'm also a visual learner too, so it really helps me when there's pictures (or video) to know what I am doing, versus just reading about what to do.
