A real gem you are very lucky Patrx.  :)

yankeetrex

My latest Gem, only took a year to get to me.  I pretty much only collect JP, more specifically the SWS models, so this is my pride and Joy.

Dinomike

Wow! What an awesome bust!
Check out my new Spinosaurus figure: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=5099.0

Phenomenal, Yankeetrex!   :o :o :o ;)

Great addition, but the eyes seem to be not on par with the rest of the sculpt, detail-wise. They look like plastic.

The eyes are glass, not sculpted and then covered in clear resin like the SWS eyes.  Look to me like they are painted from the inside.  They look better in person then in pics.

The last 3 items I still missed, of the 1996 ver. Battat, have arrived -
That Acro. was especially hard to find :

Now my collection is finally complete :

Of course the terra version are there, with the boxes cut for a better display :

Unfortunately I've been looking for the versions of Battat Terra 1996 and unfortunately I have not found any except the diplodocus Battat at a stratospheric price. $ 500 is a lot for my economy.  :(

What is happening with the Battat line? I have not been around for a while. Are the rest of the figures going to get a release?

I don't think the 1996 Boston museum ver.  is "Terra".
Anyway,
You currently have 5 of the 1996 Boston museum version  on sale on eBay, in more or less reasonable prices  :
1. Stegosaurus - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Retired-Rare-Battat-Museum-of-Science-Boston-Stegosaurus-Dinosaur-Dino-Figure-/282654443926?hash=item41cf848996:g:ci8AAOSwLdNZu4LK
2. Carnotaurus - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Battat-Carnotaurus-Museum-Of-Science-Boston-Dinosaur-Retired-Figure-1997-RARE-/282669692545?hash=item41d06d3681:g:vRcAAOSwgVBZlQGG
3. Styracosaurus - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Battat-dinosaur-collection-Museum-of-Science-Styracosaurus-with-tag-/352174073962?hash=item51ff35e86a:g:8xoAAOSwPC5ZzAk0
4. Amargasaurus  - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Battat-Museum-of-Boston-Amargasaurus-dinosaur-figure-/112576348840?hash=item1a3612c2a8:g:ducAAOSw241YXy2M
5. Ceratosaurus - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Battat-Museum-of-Science-Boston-Ceratosaurus-Dinosaur-Figure-Rare-Dino-Figurine-/282667096722?hash=item41d0459a92:g:MjkAAOSwtplZx0me

( where  Stegosaurus , Amargasaurus & Ceratosaurus are the most common and you should probably get them for under 25$ ).

On top of some really expensive 3 boxed items : Acrocanthosaurus ,  Tyrannosaurus  ,  Dilophosaurus
Found Here : https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=Original+Battat&_ssn=starfind&hash=item41ce703337%3Ag%3AN6YAAOSwfaZZq5UE&item=282636333879&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR9.TRC3.A0.H0.XBattat.TRS2&_nkw=Battat&_sacat=0

Not to mention the Diplodocus for 500$ - that I wouldn't recommand.
But, if you really want to own this guy, you'll probably have to part with, at least 150$ to 250$

Good luck

Shonisaurus

Thank you Brontoscorpio, I have bid for Battat styracosaurus. For now I'm going to be buying the rarest 96 versions.  :)

As well you have indicated the dilophosaurus is absolutely prohibitive, the same I can say of the acrocanthosaurus and tyrannosaurus versions 1996. It pays more to buy a lot of figures of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals of other updated companies that those expensive figures. Hopefully in the future there may be some Battat reporter. It was a pretty good company. His figures are very, very nice and that's been so many years.

Leslie LoRusso gave me the go-ahead, so here's what she wrote on Facebook:

my husband . . . was actually pretty sick when working on these, i believe the offer from battat to help create the terra line of dino toys came at the perfect time as working on the line was something positive to do while fighting the battle with his health ... as for the line battat has in hand 4 more new/original figures/dinos, gastonia gigantoraptor, europasaurus & pentaceratops that are complete & ready to go, they were all sculpted/resined/cleaned/painted & are in battat's hands, these are in addition to the other original 4 pachy, nanshi, dacent, & croloph ... there are also somewhere between 14-19 repaints done of the original MOS line, i have yet to figure out the exact number that danny repainted/boxed though i do believe it is either 16 or 17 but i do know for sure battat released 8 of them, the others are in their hands to be release when/if they choose, i am not certain but i believe the diplodocus is one of them ... well that is it, just wanted to say thanks for posting & thought i would update you all on the line ~ my best, dan's wife leslie

Unfortunately it is already sold. Anyway thanks Brontoscorpio for the information.

Got some Antediluvian Miniatures:
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
