Fabulous figure! Hopefully non-Aussies will be able to get their hands on them, it appears to be well worth the effort!

I'm very impressed. Hope we get some larger figures in the future form this line as well. Lots of potential.

Wow that's the best figure i seen of this species.

Could this line become the new Carnegie Collection?  I hope so. But they will have to make more then Aussie dinosaurs to truly become that

At the risk of committing blasphemy, this exceeds Carnegie standards.

You'd never see claws like that on a Carnegie >:D

Ha ha, that's a fact. Although as someone noted, we might not see it on this either, if it's approved for children 4 and over. One could always file them down  ;D

Oh wow, that thing is fantastic! It looks like an accurate Papo model...only better! I truly hope those of us outside of Australia can get these models.

  • the models are plastic, solid body
  • the coin in the Banjo picture is an Australian 50c piece which is 3.1cm tall or 1.25inches, making Banjo approx 8.5cm or close to 3.5 inches tall
So, they will likely be very affordable as well, excellent.[/list]

Very nice!Since there are four in the pipeline for this new line,I am hoping that includes Muttaburrasaurus langdoni and/or Minmi paravertebra. ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Looks like their 1:1 sculpture :

Perhaps there both 3D printed from the same program

Could be..I've never looked to see how that one was made if it even says.

Halichoeres

It could also be that the 3D printing template is derived from a laser pantograph of the 1:1 sculpture.

Hi all, wow I can see that this is definitely generating some interest. We are also really pumped about this range, especially being a specifically Australian species. I can't give everything away at the moment out of respect for the AAoD who is developing the range but I can share the following:

  • the models are plastic, solid body
  • there are currently 4 models in the pipeline
  • the coin in the Banjo picture is an Australian 50c piece which is 3.1cm tall or 1.25inches, making Banjo approx 8.5cm or close to 3.5 inches tall
  • the models are designed via computer modelling and 3D printed prior to mass production as opposed to traditional clay sculpting methods allowing exceptionally high detail
  • they will be supplied painted, safety tested for over 3 years of age and 'will have as much detail as Papo' if not more so
Please email me on [email protected] to register your interest be added to our contact list for further updates. Cheers
this is so exciting, especially the material that is going to be used as well as the size of the figures.

I hope that they will make nice  leaellynasaur, such small dinosaurs ignored by other companies ... :P

While we are speculating, in light of the fact that the Mesozoic record of Australia is pretty spotty (to put it nicely), whereas its Paleozoic record is quite good, I would love to see them tackle some of the denizens of Gogo reef. But I suppose that would take us out of the "age of dinosaurs."

Animals from the area include Muttaburrasaurus, Minmi and a few sauropods. There's a lot of animals from the inland sea as well, so it'd be great to get a Kronosaurus, Platypteridgius, and others. Leallynasaura and its buddies are from the south, but hopefully the range becomes large enough to cover a lot of Australian dinosaurs and other prehistoric life.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Concavenator

When will the Australovenator be available?

suspsy

I keep hoping someone will uncover more remains of Rapator someday.
