Now comes the question of what these six are!

Everything_Dinosaur

Safari Ltd have not officially stated six prehistoric animals for 2016.  As far as we at Everything Dinosaur, this has not been officially confirmed.  We do know when official announcements are supposed to be made, according to our sources expect to get confirmation of Safari Ltd's plans in "Dinovember".

However, things could change....

Will they really be announced that late? If so,that's a disappointment.   :-\  Wait, aren't they supposed to be announced by November every year, but for one reason or another they always end up beong shown off in September?

We have to go with the official line.  We do speak to Safari Ltd senior management quite a lot and as far as we know no definitive plans for new model releases have been published yet and the plan remains to release information in November.  However, plans do change.

Perhaps Safari Ltd will keep the identity of the six new dinosaurs a secret until November? That's a long time to wait. :(

Shonisaurus

It is better to be in small amounts arrival Safari dinosaurs. Although it is a shame not to make prehistoric mammals.

I do hope they throw us prehistoric mammals/birds/reptile fans a bone and give us at least something new in that area.
Though i think if we'll get anything new non-dino it will be something marine related as they really seem to like making prehistoric marine creatures. And ptersoaurs. They really like those pterosaurs.

Well, Doug Watson stated that he finished working on the 2017 assortment awhile back, and given that he wasn't permitted to do any prehistoric mammals until just recently (due to the demise of the Carnegie Collection), I wouldn't hold my breath for anything with fur in the next two years.

He didn't tell what the species actually are.And don't worry,we'll see them very soon

Balaur

November is only 2 months away. We've had to wait longer before. ;D

Anyways, I do wonder what is going to be released. At least one non hadrosaur non ceratopsian ornithischian would be nice. Maybe another pterosaur, an azhdarchid, perhaps?

Takama

I want to see another Ornithopod, Armored Dinosaur, and Small Dinosaur.

Of course i will be really happy if they released more sauropods for there Collection

I think they will end up being revealed this month, but that's just my opinion (time will tell).Anyways,if they're gonna be shown off in November, that's fine.I think they will release a Quetzalcoatlus, but we'll see.

joossa

I'm very excited for the reveal. Looking at how good the recent models have been, I think I will like most of what will be revealed.

Halichoeres

Let a thousand speculations flourish! My suspicions are:
Shunosaurus
Zhejiangopterus (probably the best known azhdarchid)
Gorgosaurus
some ceratopsian (maybe a new Triceratops? It's time)
Confuciusornis
Brachylophosaurus

But I will be almost equally happy to be proven wrong as to be proven right. Like joossa, I'm confident I'll buy most or all of them.

My guesses are:

Shunosaurus
Kosmoceratops
Qianzhousaurus
Mosasaurus (or any other mosasaur)
Quetzalcoatlus
A stegosaur (probably Tuojiangosaurus)

amargasaurus cazaui

So were we saying six DINOSAURS or six figures..cause some of these guesses are not dinosaurs right?
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

The Safari Ltd. Facebook admin said six dinosaurs, but it's quite possible he/she was referring to other prehistoric reptiles as well. We shall just have to wait and see.
