Triceratops (Mighty Megasaur by, Dragon-i / Adventure Wheels)

…lpha raptor pack. Overall: It has already been mentioned a few times who’s Triceratops this toy seems to mimic so I wont continue to beat a dead Triceratops. Is this toy worth it? It all depends on what you plan to do with this toy. For kids, it is a fun toy. As for collectors, I would probably pass on it. I only have it due to it being a gift from my daughter who’s face lit up when I unwrapped it. So I will cherish it. As for everyone else, it ha…

Triceratops (Happinet)

…ey may still injure the sibling it is being thrown at. Accuracy-wise, this Triceratops does very well. The legs are correct, the right number of toes are on each foot, and the horns are a good length. I do feel that, due to the articulation there, the neck is a little short and the body seems a little slopped near the head. These are minor points, though. Overall, this toy is definitely more for kids than collectors, as the articulation and soft n…

Triceratops (Carnage Dinosaurs by ReSaurus)

…on the dinosaur’s name. And second, when it comes to the ceratopsians, the Triceratops, the Protoceratops, and the Styracosaurus all use the exact same body sculpt, with just have a different head. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t unique! As it is with all Carnage figures, the body is very detailed. There’s lots of folds and scales to look at. They seem to be hand-painted, and they pull off all sorts of excellent-looking shades. The Triceratops‘…

Triceratops Baby (Mini)(Chap Mei)

…l noticed the most glaring flaw on this toy. This is supposed to be a baby Triceratops, but the large horns extending from its frill make it look like there’s some Styracosaurus mixed in there as well. A pretty sloppy mistake to make, although it would admittedly be cool if a real ceratopsian with such adornments was ever discovered. The other major flaw is that the feet all have three clawed toes. The Standard-class Chap Mei figures available at…

Triceratops (CollectA)

…e. At 7.2” long and 3.2” high, it’s quite a squat figure, but it works for Triceratops. The detail of this figure is astonishing, with a highly textured skin consisting of folds and wrinkles all over, really making it pop. The skin is a mix of greys and greens, which is quite natural, along with beige for features like the horns, epoccipitals, and toes. One odd feature is the array of the black spots on the back. They aren’t applied in any certain…

Triceratops (Soft Model Series 2 by Favorite Co. Ltd.)

…’s attention to detail. The head on this toy is simply wonderful. Although Triceratops had a honkin’ great cavity for its nose, this is one of the few toys to give the animal great big rounded nostrils, which are a nice touch in themselves. It doesn’t stop there, though – the ears are accounted for (and in the right place for a change!), the eyes are pleasingly small-‘n’-beady (and I love the colour scheme, even if the paint app’s a bit sloppy), a…

Triceratops (Dead) (Collecta)

…ed it. It’s just superb. For one thing, it’s actually a very good model of Triceratops, with the right number of fingers and toes (and even claws) and a head that’s the right shape (rather than having an overly-round frill). There are even speculative small quills over the hips, wilting downwards accordingly. It might not be completely perfect, but it’s better than the vast majority of figures of this genus in the ‘plastic toy’ price range. What’s…

Triceratops (Simba)

…sortment. Are they relevant for us collectors? I would say, in part. Simba Triceratops is a massive, solid piece of rubber, amply detailed in overall appearance, though not scientifically correct – and has a lousy paintjob. They simply covered everything in red and a poisonously looking green. Horns, beak, feet, everything. Only its eyes are yellow with black pupils. The clean grey border and the Indian – style three striped painting of the frill…

Triceratops Plush (Kohl’s/Yottoy)

…d to confirm the best results).  The plush toy is a fairly generic take on Triceratops – the obvious three horns and frill are present, but the overall shape of the toy looks a little hunched and dumpy, reminiscent of more old-school renditions. The result is pretty cute, though. Large, round feet help the toy remain stable standing on its stubby little legs; only three small toes are present on each foot. The floppy frill, though not very accurat…

Triceratops horridus (The Fallen Queen Ver. 2) (Rebor)

…with the King Rex, as it is modelled so it can stand with one foot on the Triceratops (I am saying this as I lack the King Rex figure, but the review of it will let you picture the pose). Is it a beautiful cadaver or a dead dud? Let’s see…… I feel I should point out the difference between this and Version 1, which is a slightly different colour scheme, otherwise it’s more or less the same. The underside shows how it is meant to be displayed, and…

Triceratops (Animal Adventure/ANIA by Takara Tomy)

…(extinct no. 09) – have been covered on the Dinosaur Toy Blog previously. Triceratops was released as extinct figure no. 02 in the line. Takara Tomy’s take has its own ups and downs. At a glance, the figure is quite plain, due to the flat sandy brown color scheme it is stuck with. Only a few faint grey stripes and solid grey highlights to the toes, horns, etc., are otherwise present. It’s a shame Tomy didn’t give more effort into this aspect of t…

Triceratops (AAA)

…have to be this Triceratops. It is really only a caricature of the actual Triceratops and certainly a toy, in the truest sense of the word. There is no point looking at the anatomical accuracy of this thing because the laundry list would be too long, and who really cares anyway? This toy is from before a time of museum quality scale models. When toys were for children. That said, this is an interesting looking little figure, and will certainly be…

Triceratops (Animal World Dinosaurs by Bullyland)

…l figures, with each species sometimes having versions of different sizes. Triceratops, probably in the top five of most famous dinosaurs, had at least two sizes, and the subject of this review is the smaller one. Unlike some of their other figures that appear to be from the same era, there is no year marked on its belly, but my Bullyland Plesiosaurus is marked 1986, so I assume it might also be from around there due to the similar style. The figu…

Triceratops (Tomy)

…years ago, while trying to bulk out my collection, I came across this toy Triceratops in a big box of dinosaurs I bought off of eBay. Although it is clearly a Cheaposaur I found it unique enough to hang on to and investigate further. The only markings on this thing say “Made in China” but there is some other lettering that is indecipherable from years of play. I’ve asked around the Dinosaur Toy Forum on a few occasions with no successful leads. I…

Triceratops (Sideshow Dinosauria)

…ially useful here, as it reveals that beautiful beefy neck. The Dinosauria Triceratops was released in the summer of 2015, and has generally received even higher acclaim than its predatory predecessor. How can this be, exactly? Well, I’m sure there are several issues at play, but I suspect one major aspect is the paint scheme. The manufacturer has taken its fair share of heat for their paint quality, and the Tyrannosaurus was given the simplest pa…

Triceratops (‘Great Dinosaurs’ Collection by Safari Ltd)

…famous of ceratopsids has been reincarnated in toy form on many occasions, Triceratops is, after all, a household favourite. Once again, Safari Ltd’s Great Dinosaurs collection impresses us with a pretty good figure, far exceeding our expectations for a $6 bargain and offering an embarrassing comparison for one of Safari’s other attempts at this dinosaur (the original Carnegie Collection Triceratops is simply appalling, in my opinion). This figure…

Triceratops (DinoWaurs Survival)

…cards provided with the figures. Today we look at their take on the famed Triceratops. These are very small figures, but that is to be expected from a blind bag figure. This one measures 2.9” long and 1.4” high, more in line with lines like Kaiyodo in terms of scale. The pose is very dynamic, an animal ready for battle, which makes sense in a line that was meant as a battling game. The colour schemes for all DinoWaurs figures are incredibly simpl…

Triceratops (Antediluvia Collection)

…ided that it was time again for me to do a review of my favorite dinosaur, Triceratops. Furthermore, it is also from my favorite line of models, David Krentz’s Antediluvia collection. Painted by Griffin Like all of the dinosaurs represented in this line. There is very little to complain about with this piece with regards to scientific accuracy. The only tiny detail that could be changed is the positioning of the front feet(or hands) so that the pa…

Triceratops 1:15 (CollectA)

…entially a “blown up” version of their popular “Deluxe” sized figure, this Triceratops is an entirely new sculpt. It is a whopping 26 inches in length. Shown beside the 1:40 Wild Safari Triceratops One of the benefits of this quadrupedal model is that it stands quite comfortably on its own, requiring no base like its carnivorous predecessor. The model seems largely hollow and lightweight, slightly pliable in some areas, and generally a safe choice…

Six little dinosaurs (Tyrannosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Amargasaurus, Ankylosaurus, Spinosaurus, Triceratops) (PNSO)

…speculative flourish on the tip of the tail. I approve of such additions. Triceratops Bringing up the rear of the group, head held high, is my favourite of the bunch. Elina (for that is her name) is full of energy and has adopted a trotting pose with two legs raised mid-step. As with all six figures, this one is beautifully textured with both fine scales and the occasional large scale. No bristles on the tail, though, which some companies have go…
