The posts about damaged toys on store shelves has been split into a new thread:

Found these on ebay: Chinasaurs + JPIII/JW-esque wounds = Zombie Chinasaurs!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Dinomike

Did Hasbro make those? Lol! A lot of dino damage going on in there!

Haha. The amount of damage actually reminds me more of CollectA's corpses, but the idea to apply it to figures representing living dinosaurs is clearly inspired by Hasbro's toylines. And thus a bunch of Zombie Chinasaurs was made.

I think I've found the winner for the most hideous and overpriced dinosaur.  ;D

It's a big stuffed T. rex from the Royal Ontario Museum gift shop here in Toronto. It's being sold for $597.97!!! That's after 50% off too. I have no idea why it is so ridiculously expensive and I can't imagine anyone would pay so much for it.

joossa

Haha, poor thing. He's been there so long his skin is feeling the effects of being timeless. ;)

Wow, that's indeed an insane amount for such a lousy stuffed animal. No wonder it looks so gloomy. :)

That rex looks like its from the soft toy manufacturer, Hansa, which is (usually) pretty good. Their dinosaurs are horrible, though:

I do have the Woolly Mammoth, though, and its nice:

I think there's actually a thread for this company somewhere else- I remember it being very disturbing.

EDIT:Here it is, though the pictures are no longer available: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=1732.0

Kudos for the quadrupedal Spino tho... (jk!) That mammoth is probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen in the history of EVER.  ^-^

Hansa make amazing stuffed animals. I own a few of them. But their dinosaurs are pretty bad.

Mamasaurus

I was in Walmart not too long ago, and stopped by the toy section just for grins.  Found a couple nice trains for my kid, but the real "gems" were in the clearance section...

Looks like this apatosaurus was raised by carnivores.  Look at those teeth!

So Dinosaurs have to changed from their original looks for little kids, but equipping them with weapons  is okay?

The Gearworks ones are also totally Octosaurs.
