Cryolophosaurus (DinoWaurs Survival)

Greetings DinoWaurriors! Once again I delve into the world of blind bag collectables to see what comes from it! This time, Cryolophosaurus is our focus, a great reptile of Antarctica’s Late Jurassic period. Let’s see if this edition of ‘Elvisaurus’ is a big hunk o’ love, or if we will return to sender. Let’s find out!

Once more, we have a little figure, a mere 2.9″ long and 1.5″ high. If it had a few more paedomorphic features, it may make a decent juvenile for a larger line figure. As with the rest of the line, the colour is singular in nature, this time a light grey, with a painted red tongue and pearly whites, along with the shaded wrinkles I like so much on this line. The pose is good, striding forward, roaring a challenge, fitting for a battle line.

To accuracy! Compared to my last review, this does have a few improvements. The crest is not so over blown this time, the neck is longer and the lower jaw is a better proportion. There are still problems though. The arms are a little short, the upper jaw and skull are misshapen and the hands are pronated. Another mixed bag.

I do feel this is a better figure amongst this line, showing how close they could get to being completely accurate, even in a budget line like this. EBay and Dejankins are the best bet for finding this figure, whether buying direct or by fishing through blind bags. Happy hunting!
