Greetings DinoWaurriors! While being a great medium to introduce the masses to dinosaurs, films can have an awful effect on people by presenting inaccuracies and people drinking them in as fact. Such is the case with Dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park. In the film, it was presented as a small predator, venom spitting with a frill, when in fact it had no frill, no venom sacs and was seven meters in length. It’s up to other toy companies to correct the mistakes of the movies. Does DinoWaurs fit into this? Let’s see.

Once more, we see a monochrome dino, grey all over, with shading. No red mouth this time, just pearly whites from the over bite. The pose is simple here, if a tad dull, just strolling along calmly. At 3″ long and 1.4″ high, it’s about the size you would expect from this line.

To accuracy. This isn’t too bad, giving the animal the sleek design it possessed in life, it’s small body, limbs and tail being perfect. The neck and tail are a good line, plus the signature crests on his skull are well sculpted. The major issues are the lack of notch in the upper jaw, the strange dip in the spine and the pronation of the hands. The skull is a little shrink wrapped too. Mixed bag really.

Overall, this isn’t a horrible figure, but it doesn’t really jump out at me as something special. Bit run of the mill honestly. If you like it, pick it up, otherwise you won’t miss anything by skipping it.
