Review: Ankylosaurus (Inpro)

3 (7 votes)
Ankylosaurus has been an enduring presence in dinosaur toy lines over the years, in spite of the fact that other ankylosaurs (like Euoplocephalus) are known from more extensive remains. It’s probably the animal’s sheer size, and the fact that it lived alongside some famous giant theropod or other, that have made it such a pop culture fixture.

Review: Brontosaurus (Inpro)

Inpro Brontosaurus is a classic figure representing an iconic dinosaur, Brontosaurus. Back in 1972, English company Inpro produced a line of Prehistoric toys, among others amazingly including one of the rare representations of Heterodontosaurus as a figure. More information is available here .

Inpro Brontosaurus is 7,5 cm high and 13 cm long from the tip of its tail to the bend of its neck.

Review: Dimetrodon (Inpro)

2.7 (9 votes)

Enough has been said about Dimetrodon. Although it is not a dinosaur, it is among the four best-known prehistoric creatures, together with T.rex, Mammoth and “Brontosaurus”. Dimetrodon is a favourite choice of nearly every company. This seems to have a long tradition, since even Marx and Linde in the 50s and 60s released this Permian synapsid as a figure.

Review: Protoceratops (Inpro)

If any of you have been wondering why I’ve been slacking off on reviews lately I have a good excuse, I just don’t have a lot left to review! Almost my entire collection has been reviewed already by myself or others, with minor exception. So in order to review something I’ve had to scrape the bottom of the barrel, literally.

Review: Woolly Mammoth (Inpro)

2 (6 votes)
Looking back again at the toys of yesteryear we have another little Inpro figurine dug out of my attic, this time it’s a woolly mammoth. Inpro would produce only two mammals for their collection; this mammoth and the equally popular Smilodon. According to the date stamped on its underside this toy was produced in 1972 and while mammoth toys are almost a dime a dozen this one is sufficiently interesting enough to be worth taking a look at.
