Struthiomimus, the ‘ostrich mimic’, was named in 1917 for a species (S. altus) originally referred in 1903 to the closely related genus Ornithomimus. Despite the history of ornithomimosaurs spanning back to the late 1800s, they are relatively rarely made as toys.

Well now, here’s an interesting addition to the Jurassic Park ’93 Classic line: the Dennis Nedry Track & Chase Pack.

The set includes a motorcycle equipped with capture gear, a Velociraptor whose coloration appears to be based on the 2001 Alpha Raptor toy, and a Nedry figure with the same familiar visage, but quite a different physique.

Howdy from wonderful, windy Wyoming! Today we’ll take a look at the Honourable Lead Boiler Suit (HLBS) Tyrannosaurus rex. The model is approximately 8 inches (20 cm) long, but the curve of the neck puts it closer to 9 inches (23 cm) and gives it a 1/52 scale.

Mattel’s previous large sauropods made sense. Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus, and Dreadnoughtus all had significant screen time in the Jurassic franchise. And even though Mattel dutifully, and shockingly, made toys of them all, fans wanted more. Yes, among the Jurassic fanbase there was a subset of collectors yearning for the Mamenchisaurus, which featured briefly enough in The Lost World to allow a motorcyclist to drive between its legs.

Here we have three newly revealed Jurassic World: Wild Roar toys. The first one is a familiar face: Ceratosaurus. The colouration looks cool, but those pronated hands are a downgrade from previous versions.

Another familiar face is Parasaurolophus. This version appears to have an opening mouth, which is not something very many hadrosaur toys feature.

The chaos continues! Dinosaurs have evolved, and more species are on the loose! This may sound scary, but it does not have to be. The usually docile, bighorn sheep-sized Avaceratops has been spotted at high altitudes, getting comfortable in their modern colder environments. Their sharp horns are a reminder that, while they generally have a gentle disposition, they should be approached with extreme caution.
