July 1 is Canada Day, so today we shall be taking a gander at one of the most famous Canadian dinosaurs, Gorgosaurus. I do believe that Gorgosaurus was the second tyrannosaur I ever learned about after Tyrannosaurus rex, courtesy of an illustration in a Dover colouring book that I had when I was but a wee lad.

Opinions about Jurassic World: Dominion and its Giganotosaurus design aside, if you wanted a decent action figure of this animal upon the film’s release, you were SOL. Mattel only released one Giganotosaurus in the mainline and although it had some cool action features it resembled the animal in the movie about as much as the movie animal resembled the real Giganotosaurus.

Here’s a pretty nifty new addition to the Jurassic Park ’93 Classic series: the Tyrannosaurus rex Off-Road Tracker Pack.
As you can plainly see, this latest tyrant lizard has a noticeably unique head sculpt. Between that and the colour scheme, it’s clearly a homage to the Jurassic Park Series 2 Young T.

For this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Mattel is offering up an exclusive set featuring the late music legend and philanthropist Jimmy Buffett, who had a very brief cameo in Jurassic World.
As you can see, the set consists of Buffett’s character, two margaritas, three miniature Dimorphodons with display rods, and a glass-shaped stand.

Most ankylosaurs are classified as either Ankylosauridae or Nodosauridae. Ankylosaurids are easily distinguishable by their wide, blocky heads and tails terminating in solid bone clubs, and include the likes of Ankylosaurus itself, Euoplocephalus, Jinyunpelta, Pinacosaurus, and Zuul.
