We currently live in a perfect time for every dinosaur enthusiast, with figures all over the market, from old companies like Safari Ltd. and Schleich, to newer companies like Eofauna, or the subject of this review, the Wildpast Protoceratops.
Protoceratops is definitely one of the most recognizable ceratopsian dinosaurs that we know of, what with its head lacking centrosaurine-style frill ornamentation, or chasmosaurine-style brow horns. Nevertheless, Protoceratops wasn’t a pushover, as very often this little critter would fight with another very popular dinosaur: Velociraptor.
This little figure was sculpted by Stefan Klein and it came in this beautiful little box complete with a nice illustration by Joseph Fells on the front and a 1:1 scale picture on the back.
The Protoceratops looks very nice with its naturalistic colour scheme, which consists of a blend of beige and brown shades as well as black markings all over the body.
It is also spot on with regard to current skeletal reconstructions, with long legs and quite a big head. There are also quills running down the top of the tail. It is also quite small, only 6.5 cm long and 3 cm tall, which is perfect for 1:35 scale dinosaur figure collectors.
Also included in the box is a nest full of baby Protoceratops, waiting for their momma to bring them some food. And finally, here I have a couple of comparison shots with figures from other companies.
Overall, the Wildpast Protoceratops is a great figure for every fan of this ceratopsian as well as persons who mostly collect figures in 1:35 scale. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

I received the Wild Past Protoceratops yesterday, and have to say, what a beauty!
As stated in the review the pose is great, the figure is very accurate and combined with the nest looks fantastic. It makes a great companion for my Kaiyodo Protoceratops.
I also received Wild Past 1:35th “Velociraptor dance”, and they will look the part in a combined diorama.
I feel the same about Wildpast
I honestly can’t wait to get my majungasaurus and tethyshadros pair
Good article on the protoceratops of Wild Past I fortunately have it on my shelf with all my miniatures and I can say that it is super advisable is a small figure but very detailed and the details of paint and texture is awesome on the other hand the PVC fortunately not It is rigid and it is rare for it to deteriorate even in the long term due to time or suffer breakages due to falls (there may always be) or abrasions, due to its soft and well sculpted plastic.
I have no words to thank the Wild Past brand and DinoToyCollector for having made this magnificent figure. Highly recommended.
It is good, beautiful and cheap.
Nice review. I am very satisfied indeed with my model and look forward to other dinosaurs from this line.
