Once more, I delve into the DinoWaurs Survival line to investigate a member of what most would see as an obvious group for this series: Raptors! However, there is only one member of this family actually featured in this line, and not the more famed members like Deinonychus or Velociraptor. The choice is more appropriate though, as it is the largest member of the family: Utahraptor!
To the figure! At 2.2” long and 1.9” high, this is small by any measurable means, and skinny to boot. This does create issues as, in spite of its great stance, calling to the sky, it’s so trim that the feet warp easily, making it very difficult to stand it on its own. We again have an all-over light grey with highlights and red tongue. Dull as always, but the shading saves it.
To accuracy, and it’s another mixed bag. This is correctly trim for a fleet-footed runner, with slender proportions on the limbs, skull and body, but they aren’t quite there. Skull is oddly shaped, the tail is a tad short and the toe claw is not as prominent as it really should be, as a prime characteristic of the raptor family. The addition of feathers on the arms and along the spine (at least, I think they are along the spine) is a nice touch, but underused. At least the hands aren’t pronated, that is pleasing to see.
This is a nice figure, but I can’t say more than that. Great pose, mixed accuracy and poor standing make it not worth picking up unless you are a completionist for this line or a big fam of Utahraptor. I leave it to you to decide if you want it or not. Personally, I feel it can be skipped over.

Regarding accuracy to the real animal: More remains of Utahraptor were found some time ago, which have shown Utahraptor looked quite different to how people had been reconstructing it. Scott Hartman’s Utahraptor skeletal is an up-to-date reconstruction that incorporates the newer remains of this animal: https://www.deviantart.com/scotthartman/art/Plunderer-from-Utah-179491659
It honestly looks like a dried up corpse.
