The next critter in our overview of Wing Crown’s 7 inch ‘Cartoon Series’ is, as I’m sure you can tell from the photos, Spinosaurus. Not Dimetrodon, or ArizonasaurusSpinosaurus. It certainly has a raised sail-like spine. I’m not going to argue against this identity because when the next new paper on Spinosaurus drops, who knows how accurate this figure will be… I just might come out as the ignorant one.

Wing Crown Spinosaurus

It is vibrant magenta that gets a bit more reddish up the spine, with a white snout and underside. I honestly dig the color scheme here, I think the bold colors fit it very well. Somehow the pink tones on these carnivorous dinosaurs add to the aggressiveness. However, the stunning paint is prone to scratches and wearing off, as you can see in the photos.

The figure has an added texture of irregular bumps here and there, and the sail itself has very pronounced spines, with the tissue in between not reaching the extruding tips. This results in a spine that is similar to a bass’s dorsal fin, with a spiky appearance.

The body plan once again is pretty simple. It is depicted as a quadruped, but the hind limbs have defined ankles and the front limbs bend in the elbow, which is better than just a crude pillar of flesh, as in some of the other toys in this series.

The head sculpt is anything but long and slender, there is no crest above the eyes or dent in the snout. Instead, its grinning jaws are round and wide, housing a set of tightly fitting teeth, and leaving no space to be seen inside the mouth. The expression on its face is, I’d say, a little psychotic if not sinister, which looking at the super sharp teeth definitely makes this the most suspect of the two carnivores in this series!
