We return once more to the DinoWaurs Survival blind bag line, and we begin with a story to illustrate an issue with blind bags of any kind. I decided to try buying in bulk, with the hope of avoiding duplicates. One of the first figures I pulled was a Suchomimus. Now, I was quite pleased with this, as I didn’t have this figure yet. A few bags later, I opened another Suchomimus. I was a little annoyed, but knew it could happen, plus I didn’t have many figures, so there was little chance of getting another Suchomimus. I mean, what would the chances of pulling three be? As it turned out, very high. I can see arguments that Suchomimus and Irritator might be the same, this one certainly irritated me!
Issues of duplicates aside, let’s get onto the review! This is a very small figure, at 8.5” long and 5” high, so good with DinoWaurs, Kaiyodo and other small figure lines. Once again, we have an all over colour, light grey in this case, with great airbrushing and great work on the mouth, bright white and red mouth. The pose is intimidating, great for a series like this, though it does cause a tripod stance.
Onto scientific accuracy. Generally, this is ok. The hands aren’t pronated, the limbs are spot on in terms of length and the skull has a decent length to it. I feel the skull could be a bit longer, but it could be worse. The body isn’t quite right, and doesn’t feature the raised neural spines the species is known for. May be a little too upright, but not bad.
While the design may be a little on the monstrous side and the body isn’t quite right, this is still not a bad figure. If you like this series or are into Spinosaurs, I’d say give it a go. I recommend looking for it individually though, unless you want to have a small flock of your own!

Ok, getting three of the same figure is unusual, but at you can use those the Spino relatives.
