Gastonia was discovered in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah, USA. It lived during the Early Cretaceous period from 139 to 134.6 million years ago and is one of the very best known nodosaurids. Its name honours Robert Gaston, an American paleontologist and the CEO of Gaston Design, Inc., which makes and sells skeletal replicas of various dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.

Here’s another of the more exciting additions to Yowie’s Ultimate Dinosaurs series, the Lambeosaurus. I say more exciting because Lambeosaurus is somewhat of a rarity on the toy market, especially in more kid oriented little sets like this.

This 1:40 scale Deluxe measures 26 cm long and features a wound on its right shoulder. These are becoming a CollectA trademark.

Coming on the flippers of their Cryptoclidus is Mojo Fun’s Carnotaurus. It’s their very first toy of the “meat-eating bull,” and it looks fairly decent, although it’ll be good to see images from other angles.

Hello! Plenty of people who are passionate about dinosaurs today likely started being so early in their lives. The toy producers at Wing Crown are surely aware of that phenomenon. Their attempts to appeal to the young has resulted in the creation of dinosaur depictions so anthropomorphised, goofy and friendly looking, that a child who understands the concept of food chains might experience cognitive dissonance trying to play with these toys.

Howdy from wonderful, windy Wyoming! Well, summer is long over, my list of honey-do’s from the wife is finally just about complete, and today I’m back behind the computer.
Originally, my interest in dinosaur figures was in finding ones that scaled well with 28 mm gaming pieces, for roleplaying games and “war” games, such as Saurian Safari.

Here’s a figure I didn’t anticipate adding to the collection, the Entertainment Earth Exclusive, Limited Edition, Funko Pop! Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Brachiosaurus Vinyl Figure! Whew, that was a mouthful. My Jurassic franchise Pop! collection consists of a whopping two figures, the Stygimoloch and Dilophosaurus, which both have reviews here and are the only Funko Pop!

This small outdated ankylosaur model was sold by the Early Learning Centre in the UK in the 1990s. It doesn’t have any brand markings, but I’m reasonably confident it’s an AAA model based on the style and knowing the strong relationship the Early Learning Centre had with AAA.
