After the release of a certain film having to do with dinosaurs in 1993, dromaeosaurs have captured the public imagination. While some are famous, such as the notorious Velociraptor and Utahraptor, there are many more obscure species as well. Kitadaniryu is a very mysterious dinosaur, as there is very little information about it available.

A short review of a small dinosaur toy figure (this one is only 9 cm long and 3.5 cm tall). I really love dinosaur toys when they are of monochrome plainness. I also love small and detailed dinosaur toys. So, of course I love this little yellow fellow.

Favorite’s ‘Soft Model’ series is the affordable, plastic-toy counterpart to their more expensive range of ‘Desktop’ polyresin statues, and gains frequent favour for the models’ modern look and the fact that the carnivores stand on their own two feet. So it is with the latest addition to the line, this Spinosaurus.

“Saichania” is Mongolian for “beautiful one.” Admittedly, this is not the sort of title one expects to find among ankylosaurs. After all, they don’t quite have the sleek and decorative appearance of other thyreophorans like Kentrosaurus, nor the poise and majesty of the classic Stegosaurus.

Despite a superficially similar product line, Dinostoreus of the United States manages to distinguish itself from its former sister company, Favorite of Japan, with a few exclusive pieces. This diorama is one such piece. Constructed in fragile polyresin and just shy of five inches at its highest peak, this scene offers a glimpse of every dino-nut’s fantasy.

Last year’s Papo releases were rather mixed in terms of quality – while they all displayed the usual high production standards, only the Pachyrhinosaurus was truly great, the Oviraptor emerging as a scaly basketball player and the Plesiosaurus as a Nessie aberration.

In 2005, Safari LTD produced a line of 4 figures for the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL. Among these is one of the best hadrosaur figures of recent years. Most famous for its role as the hapless victim of Tyrannosaurus in the classic Walking With Dinosaurs series, Anatotitan was a large hadrosaur that lived 68 – 65 million years ago in North America, coexisting with more famous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and Ankylosaurus.

I really can’t get enough of this dinosaur it seems. This is what, the third review by me of a Stycacosaurus? This time I will be reviewing Carnegie’s rendition of the semi-popular spiked dinosaur.

Despite the vast myriad of dinosaurs species turned into models by them, Carnegie only has four ceratopsid species under its belt.

What I have here is the resin version of the Horizon Elasmosaurus model kit. The resin versions were produced to be used by vendors as display samples of the vinyl kit and not mass produced. Its limited production and sales should make it one of the rarer and highly sought Horizon models around.
