Ceratopsians are truly fascinating beasts. The first dinosaur I was introduced to as a child, was good ol’ three horns, Triceratops. Back then I used to collect AAA dinosaur toys, which at the time seemed like the best dinosaur toys around.

The approach of 2014 means an exciting new line from each of our favorite prehistoric figure manufacturers. However, there’s an extra surprise this year – the new 2014 line from Safari Ltd. has already arrived! While their offering is impressive as always, I have to say that my most anticipated figure is the Pachyrhinosaurus, and Safari has really delivered on this piece.

Time to look at another one of the Walking with Dinosaurs the Movie 3D action figures, this time, Troodon. Previously we have reviewed the standard sized Gorgon and standard sized Patchi. Hi folks! I´m happy to submit a brand new review, my first one for nearly a year. It is about the Plesiosaurus 3D puzzle, produced by Fame Master, which is being distributed by a company named Spiegelburg/Coppenrath in Germany.
It’s a nice figure, very easy to fit and makes a nice contribution to every collector’s shelf or cabinet.

When it comes to dinosaur lines, Schleich have been a bit of a let down in recent years. Not only have they retired a large proportion of their prehistoric animal figures, their most recent sculpts have been ugly and anatomically incorrect. The sort of toys that wouldn’t seem out of place in a bargain bin of ‘Made in China’ ‘Chinasaurs’.

This magnificent version of Ankylosaurus magniventris has been very difficult to obtain in Europe since the import prices from Japan are quite steep. However, I managed to obtain this Late Cretaceous creature when a shop in Britain finally took Favorite’s Soft Model series in their selection.

Another day, another dinosaur. Yesterday we looked at the standard sized Gorgon, today we’ll cast our eyes on another action figure in this series, Gorgon’s ceratopsid nemesis, Patchi. The figure is sold separately, but is also available as part of a twin pack alongside Gorgon, so if you’re thinking of acquiring them both, you can save a little money in the process.
