Review: Triceratops (Small World Importing)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

I cannot believe it, my 300th review! How can it be that a single person has written 300 toy dinosaur reviews in 13 years? Well, aside from just enjoying it I also write reviews as a distraction from the trials of life, and anyone that has been paying attention to current events over the last several years will understand why my output has been so large lately!

Review: Maiasaura (Haolonggood)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: , Scale:

4.9 (7 votes)

The North American hadrosaurid Maiasaura is famous for being the “good mother lizard,” the first dinosaur for which there is fossil evidence of parental behaviour in the form of nests containing babies that were clearly being fed and cared for by adults.

Review: Liopleurodon (Painted) (British Museum of Natural History by Invicta)

Whenever a line of toys gets a complete set of reviews on the Dinosaur Toy Blog, I consider it a milestone. This has happened many times over the years and in my opinion, it heightens the value of the blog and its usefulness as a resource.

Review: T. rex (Creator by LEGO)

4.6 (7 votes)

HHHHRRRRRROOONNKKK!!! Never fear, fellow dinosaur lovers, that’s not a real megatheropod bellowing menacingly at you. No, it is actually I, Dr. Bellasaurus rex, along with my faithful and friendly companion, Tricerabeth!”

“Already told you not to call me that, Doc.

Wing Crown Spinosaurus

Review and photos by Hubert, edited by DinoToyBlog

The next critter in our overview of Wing Crown’s 7 inch ‘Cartoon Series’ is, as I’m sure you can tell from the photos, Spinosaurus. Not Dimetrodon, or ArizonasaurusSpinosaurus.

Review: Triceratops (Ultimate Dinosaurs by Yowie Group)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

3 (5 votes)

Although another Triceratops is probably the last thing any of us need in our collections (certainly mine) this one from Yowie Group is decent enough to deserve some time in the spotlight on the Dinosaur Toy Blog. It comes from Yowie Groups Ultimate Dinosaur series which is currently available in various shop across the United States.

We’re coming even closer to the end, but Haolonggood still has something to squeeze out! Meet the Styracosaurus pair of Chen Da and Hou Jian!

Compared to previously released ceratopsians, the colours on these two are much more muted. I’m not yet sure which one I’ll go with.

Review: Giganotosaurus (Jurassic World Dino-Trackers, Captivz Build N’ Battle Dinos by ToyMonster)

Genus: Brand: , , Classification: , Age: Type:

Before we begin the review, I would like to thank the generous folks over at ToyMonster, for sending me a large selection of Captivz figures to share with the blog.

Since I just wrote reviews for a Mapusaurus and Tyrannotitan I thought it would be fitting to review another carcharodontosaurid and look at the Captivz Giganotosaurus by ToyMonster.

News: Upcoming releases from Papo (New for 2025)

Papo’s had their ups and downs in recent years, with some toys still being pretty darned good and others being pretty darned bad, if we’re being brutally honest. But it appears that we’re in luck for next year!

Anhanguera. This appears to be a digital model as opposed to a physical toy, but it looks very promising.
