Spinosaurus is, without doubt, one of the most blood-curdling, spine-chilling, formidable creatures humanity has ever come across. A seven tonne crocodile-like monster measuring in at 18 meters from nose to tail. A conqueror of land and sea.

A lot of new figures have come out in 2017 [vote for your favourites here – Ed], but perhaps none have become more controversial than the Acrocanthosaurus that Schleich have created for their ‘Conquering the Earth’ dinosaurs collection.

Review: Pachycephalosaurus (Bullyland)

During this seasonal, festive, frenzy of reviews, lets take a small time warp back in time and bring forth a toy that has been left behind by the relentless march of time. In 2009, Bullyland,  the purveyor of  goofy eyed yet expressive figures, released a interesting looking Pachycephalosaurus.

Last year, Safari Ltd unveiled and released a Feathered Tyrannosaurus rex that was widely praised for keeping up with the most recent findings. While Safari already has a Triceratops figure that was released back in 2007, it was starting to show its age, what with many of the recent findings.

The Early Cretaceous Wessex formation in England is rich in vertebrate fossils, including dinosaurs like Baryonyx and Iguanodon, pterosaurs like Caulkicephalus, many kinds of fish, and even some fragments of small mammals. Today we’ll take a look at one of the most heavily armored denizens of Early Cretaceous Eurasia, Polacanthus, as depicted by Papo.

With the roaring success of Papo’s adult Spinosaurus figure it was only a matter of time before we got a tiny counterpart. Especially seeing how Papo have released younger versions of their Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Pachycephalosaurus, Mammoth and Apatosaurus models, it felt right to see Papo’s take on a young ‘Spine Lizard’.

With its spike in popularity over the years, and with much help from well known franchises such as Jurassic Park, the Ceratosaurus is starting to appeal more to mainstream audiences, especially as more and more toy companies begin to release their takes on this fascinating animal.
