Before I review this figure, there’s something that I want to lay out about the new figures from Schleich, as 2016 has been something of a confusing year with them. For one, the company now has a new owner who was once the CEO of Lego, and has since applied some things that he done with that company to Schleich.

Under attack, the young warrior lashes out desperately. Although he possesses great strength and weaponry, his stamina is fading and his attackers are many. His thagomizer swings through the air, but then one of the allosaurs manages to seize it just behind the spikes and hold on furiously.

Another all-new animal in the 2013 Playmobil Dinos line is the famous Stegosaurus. This one is a mother whose eggs are about to hatch, but she’d better keep a close eye on that hungry crocodilian who lives nearby!
This version of the “roofed lizard” measures 23 cm long from nose to tail tip and stands just over 11 cm tall at the tip of its plates.

History: One of the most recognizable dinosaurs, Stegosaurus continues to be a popular choice for TV specials, movies, and of course toys. Stegosaurus lived during the late Jurassic around 150-155 million years ago. It shared a habitat alongside some of the most well known dinosaurs, such as Allosaurus (which would dine on Stegosaurus), Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Diplodocus.

My previous review for the dinosaur toy blog was a Therizinosaur, so I spilled the obligatory ink in describing how these were among the strangest-looking dinosaurs known. Today I am reviewing the CollectA model of Stegosaurus, a dinosaur so famous that it is safe to say that any child who could describe what a dinosaur is would also be able to instantly recognise and name Stegosaurus.
