News: Upcoming releases from CollectA (New for 2012)

Ah CollectA, what did we ever do without you? CollectA have pushed out the boat once more with another bona fide bonanza of new figures for us in 2012. Their massive line up of 21 new sculpts will add considerable taxonomic diversity to their ranks, but more than that, CollectA has raised its game with a clear increase in quality to match quantity.

Safari Ltd have another great spread laid on for 2011, with two new additions to the Carnegie Collection, five new Wild Safari dinosaurs, and two new toobs. I’m sure we’ll review the figures properly when they are released next year but in the meantime let’s overview what’s in the pipeline based on Safari Ltd’s publicity shots…
Safari Ltd is dedicated to releasing two new Carnegie figures every year, sculpted by Forrest Rogers.

News: Dinosaur Diorama Contest 2010 – Winners!

I’m happy to formally announce and showcase the winning ‘dinoramas’ in the Dinosaur Toy Forum Diorama Contest – 2010. 17 unique dioramas were entered (the same number as last year in fact) and 48 members took part in the voting process. News: Dinosaur figures for 2008 – a review

It’s not the end of the year yet, but all of the major releases this year have been and gone. The only other line we were (especially!) looking forward to, the Sea Monsters figures, have been cancelled – to everyone’s dismay. But not wishing to dwell on our losses, Dinosaur Toy Forum member Bokisaurus had kindly provided a round up of all this years newbies.

The latest in Papo’s line of detailed prehistoric creature figures was unveiled today in their 2008 Catalogue. The new addition is a super-cool Allosaurus and it is remarkable for plenty of reasons.
