“Good day, fellow dinosaur lovers! Time once again to delve deep into the world of Lego with yours truly, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with the indispensable Beth Buildit! And how is little Bronwyn today, Beth?”

“She’s just fine, Doc. Although I’m still not sure my sister would be cool with all this.”

“Stuff and nonsense, Beth, she’s going to have a perfectly lovely adventure just like last time!

“How do you do, fellow dinosaur lovers? Dr. Bella Bricking and Beth Buildit here once again to bring you another prehistoric review from the land of Lego. This one is particularly special, as it is our first Duplo review! Duplo, as many of you know, is geared towards children ages 1 1/2 to 5 years of age, and as such consists of bricks twice the height, width, and length of standard Lego bricks.

“Salutations, fellow dinosaur lovers! Yes, it is I, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with my trusty wingwoman, Beth Buildit! My goodness, it’s been a long time since we last appeared on the Dinosaur Toy Blog!”
“Sure has, Doc. But with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom out this summer, Lego has really stepped up their game this year.

Review: Allosaurus “Raptillion” (Plasma Dinosaurs by Mega Bloks)

1.9 (16 votes)
This little oddball of a dinosaur toy might not win any beauty or accuracy contests, but is it a decently entertaining piece in its own right?
Between 2006 and 2008, Mega Bloks released a line of small toys under the “Plasma Universe” title which included dragons and dinosaurs.

Review: Dinosaurs (LEGO Duplo)

Thanks to the incredible team of Dr Bella Bricking and Beth Buildit most readers will be familiar with the certain incarnations of dinosaurs in the world of LEGO. Especially the figures released in the Jurassic World Franchise can achieve a serious price amongst collectors but there’s way more dinosaur figures in the LEGO universe than those.

Review: Tyrannosaurus rex (Boneyard Pets)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

We’ve reviewed over 100 Tyrannosaurus toys on the Dinosaur Toy Blog,  more than any other dinosaur species. T. rex is the dinosaur that keeps on giving! And so here’s one more for your consideration, the Tyrannosaurus ‘table-top’-sized skeleton by Boneyard Pets.

Earlier this year I unboxed a delivery of Boneyard Pets  and subsequently filmed myself building them (see below). Now that I’ve constructed them, let’s take a closer look at one. A couple of years ago Dan previously considered the Tupuxuara in this line, so apologies in advance for belabouring some of his points.

Despite its immense fame and popularity, there are not very many complete specimens of Stegosaurus. Most of the skeletons you see in museums are actually composites of multiple animals. The most intact one is currently “Sophie,” a young adult that resides in the Natural History Museum in London, U.K.

Today I’ll be taking a look at an unusual addition to the Dinosaur Toy Blog: Skeleflex. Released by a company called Wild Planet back in 2007, the line was described in its press release as “a creative ball-and-socket building system that puts kids in control. Its interchangeable bone-shaped pieces can be combined to make aliens, dinosaurs, and other fantastical creatures that move in a lifelike manner.” Sounds interesting, no?

Review: Mighty Dinosaurs (Creator by Lego)

“Season’s Greetings, fellow dinosaur lovers! Yes, it is I, Dr. Bella Bricking, enjoying another holiday season! And where would I be without my trusty and beloved companion, Beth Buildit?”
“I can’t believe I let you talk me into wearing this hat, Doc.”

“Now, now, no humbugs, Beth!

Review: Kentrosaurus (4D Puzzle by Fame Master)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

Poor Kentrosaurus, it always plays second fiddle to its larger cousin Stegosaurus.  Still, the genus has proved popular enough to be reproduced as a toy in several instances. And oddly enough, most of them have proved to be great representations. Safari, CollectA, Tyco, and even Schleich have all produced some outstanding Kentrosaurus figures.

Review: Seismosaurus (4D Puzzle by Fame Master)

3 (2 votes)
Seismosaurus is a name that a lot of younger readers may not recognize but for those of us who were dinosaur fanatics in the late 80’s and early 90’s it’s a name we remember all too well. Seismosaurus was a genus of dinosaur described in 1991, at the time it was estimated to have been the longest dinosaur ever discovered, measuring between 127-170 feet in length.
