Diabloceratops is a dinosaur in a curious position. Despite relatively little fame or pop culture presence, the “devil-horned face” has been a popular choice of genus for toy companies; Safari ltd., Collecta, Schleich, Mattel, and recently Haolonggood, among still others, have all taken a crack at the animal, with surprisingly good results in general.

When Haolonggood announced their Diabloceratops it was one of the few ceratopsians by the company that I didn’t intend to purchase.

It’s been a good six years since Diabloceratops first burst into the toy figure world scene. It was way back in 2013 when CollectA then followed shortly by Safari both released a figure of this unique ceratopsian in the same year.
