Review and photos by Bernie Brontosaurus, edited by Suspsy
Hello, my DTB handle is Bernie Brontosaurus and although I have been a fan of the site for years, this is the first time I have ever submitted a review. There are so many awesome regular reviewers for this site, I didn’t think I would be needed!
Review: Tyrannosaurus rex (2020)(Blue Version by Schleich)
2.6 (33 votes)
Schleich can be seen as the equivalent of McDonald’s in that, despite the sometimes lacklustre quality of their products, they are still the most globally successful of all the companies specializing in PVC scale models of extinct and extant fauna. Take for example their 2012 Tyrannosaurus rex mould.

Review: Tyrannosaurus rex (Antediluvia Collection)

David Krentz, also responsible for sculpting and designing the Sideshow Dinosauria Collection, has created a line of dinosaur models on a much smaller and thankfully less expensive scale. The Antediluvia Collection consists of dinosaurs all made in exactly 1/72 scale but don’t let the small size fool you.Â

The Tyrannosaurus rex, which is easily recognizable with its large head, short neck, small arms, and bipedal stance, is my personal favourite dinosaur. This medium-sized plush toy made by Aurora World is a brightly coloured rendition, and very soft.

Review: Tyrannosaurus rex (Baby) (Papo)
4.5 (50 votes)
This year’s really all about Tyrannosaurus as far as Papo are concerned, with two brand new sculpts and a repaint/refinement of their original Jurassic Park knock-off. Sure, there’s also that tantalising brachiosaur, but that’s not out yet – and I think we’ll all agree that we’re better off pretending that any disastrous attempts at marine reptiles didn’t happen.
