Review: Velociraptor “BLUE” (Jurassic World by Hasbro)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

1.7 (14 votes)
Velociraptor is one of the best known dinosaurs in the world, and it owes its popularity to Jurassic Park.  On screen, it is a cunning and deadly foe that is smart, fast, social, and hunts in groups so it can lay traps for its quarry.

Review: Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptors (Playmobil)

4.7 (24 votes)
For 40 years, Playmobil has been one of the most popular toylines in the world, famed for their simple yet elaborate designs and wide-ranging themes. Let us take a trip through their 2007 Dinosaurs line. We begin with Tyrannosaurus rex and a pair of Velociraptors.

Review: Velociraptor “Alpha” (Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs by Hasbro)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

The closure of Kenner by parent company Hasbro in 2000 meant that an entirely different team would design the toys for Jurassic Park 3. Many dinosaur collectors, including myself, feel that the quality of the line took a major nosedive as a result.

Review: Velociraptor (2015) (Carnegie Collection by Safari Ltd.)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

4.5 (19 votes)
So this is it – the very end of the Carnegie Collection. At least we got our feathered Velociraptor before the final bow. It’s by no means perfect, but it should at least prove more popular than last year’s bafflingly despised T.

Review: Velociraptor “Cyclops” (Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs by Kenner)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

3.5 (16 votes)
The various Jurassic Park lines have given us many Velociraptor toys over the years (and more still to come). One of the more interesting ones is the battle-hardened “Cyclops.”

Cyclops first appeared in the 1997 Lost World line, but like many of the smaller JP toys, it was re-released in subsequent years.

Review: Velociraptor (Safari Ltd)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

3.9 (18 votes)

Back in 1993 Safari Ltd. released a rather large Velociraptor that allegedly belonged to their “Dinosaurs of China” line. As it turns out, it didn’t and while it has been briefly reviewed on the blog already that review was the old style “single paragraph” review.

Review: Velociraptor (Jurassic Hunters by Geoworld)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

Review and photos by Takama, edited by Plesiosauria.

It is a special day for Geoworld because today is the first time one of their products will be reviewed on the Dinosaur Toy Blog! Geoworld, for those who don’t already know, is an Italian company started by (self-proclaimed ?)* paleontologist Dr.

Review: Velociraptor (Soft Model Series 2 by Favorite Co. Ltd.)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

3.1 (7 votes)
Feathered dromaeosaurs are always welcome on the toy market, and especially feathered Velociraptor figures. Perhaps rather unsurprisingly – given that a certain 20-year-old film is raking in the cash yet again this year – the biggest dinosaur toy names (in the West, anyway) continue to peddle scandalously nude figures.

Review: Velociraptor (World of History by Schleich)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

2.3 (15 votes)
The last two reviews dealt with a Jurassic Park – inspired dinosaur and a new Schleich release. So here is your perfect synthesis, a review of Schleich´s new Velociraptor. It is way better than their last Velociraptor, but this was not difficult to achieve, to be honest.

Review: Velociraptor (Procon/CollectA)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

2.1 (16 votes)
Review and photos by Nathan Morris (‘Takama’). Edited by Plesiosauria.
Velociraptor is a true staple when it comes to dinosaurs. It has appeared in countless books and visual media, which has caused almost every toy company to produce one at some point in their lifetime.

Review: Male Velociraptor (Jurassic Park III by Kaiyodo)

3.6 (8 votes)
The Jurassic Park movies are what led Velociraptor to its great fame and popularity in popular culture. This dinosaur has been represented many times in Jurassic Park memorabilia, collectibles, and toys. It is fitting that when Kaiyodo produced a set of 13 figures based on the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park 3, figures of both the male and female Velociraptors in the movie were produced.

Review: Protoceratops vs. Velociraptor (Dinosauria by Sideshow)

4.7 (7 votes)
Review by Dan L, Photos by Jeremy K.
Despite the public’s insatiable love of maniraptorans, it took over a year before Sideshow added one to their Dinosauria line of statues. This introduction is not without a few twists, however – and not all of them will be well-received by the foaming, rabid consumer base.
