Ornithomimids seem to be getting more and more popular in the realms of figures and collectibles. But of the great and diverse clade, it is surprising that Ornithomimus itself seems to be oddly absent, with few companies taking on the task of recreating this rather famous dinosaur.

Flocking this way and back into our hearts, here comes the Gallimimus, not only is it featured again in the Jurassic Park franchise’s 5th installment but it’s back on the toy shelves as well. Gallimimus has featured in all but one Jurassic Park movies to date.

The number of Triceratops models and figures can hardly be counted at this point. Every line has one, some great, some not. Here I will be examining the one from Happinet, a Japanese company, that created a series of articulated dinosaur figures, similar in certain styles to the Sega Dinosaur King line.

Welcome to my review of the Jurassic Park 1:1 Velociraptor bust by Chronicle Collectibles! She just recently arrived and she’s more gorgeous than I could have imagined. There will be no unboxing for this one because she arrived in a nondescript white box, housing her in styrofoam packaging which was neat, tight, and kept her perfectly safe.

“Good day, fellow dinosaur lovers! Time once again to delve deep into the world of Lego with yours truly, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with the indispensable Beth Buildit! And how is little Bronwyn today, Beth?”

“She’s just fine, Doc. Although I’m still not sure my sister would be cool with all this.”

“Stuff and nonsense, Beth, she’s going to have a perfectly lovely adventure just like last time!

Sue, the Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, which is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago, is the largest and most complete specimen in the world. Discovered in 1990, she (or he) was named for Susan Hendrickson, the woman who found the specimen.

The Dinosaur Toy Blog has been a major eyewitness to the evolution of dinosaur and prehistoric toys, from just its start, where figures from the dark days of these toy companies were being reviewed, to today, where beautifully crafted and accurate figures are being reviewed.

It can be hard being a Jurassic Park dinosaur collector. Sometimes it is because certain figures are rare and expensive. Or sometimes, it is because certain figures are rare, expensive, AND ugly. Some of the most infamous dinosaurs made by Kenner share these three things, and yet somehow, they are legendary among fans.

With the Jurassic World license now in the hands of people who actually care about the toys they make, we now have a large selection of toys that (so far) have proven to be a massive improvement over the poorly designed dreck that Hasbro has created for the last film in the series.
