Hello once again! Today I, EmperorDinobot shall lead you through a short review. We shall be looking at the differences between the Dino Escape Mononykus repaint and the original version that has been already reviewed here on the blog.

Review: Mononykus (Jurassic World: Dino Rivals Attack Pack By Mattel)

If there’s one group of dinosaurs that have never before graced a child’s toy box then it would almost certainly be the alvarezsaurids. Alvarezsaurids are small, maniraptoran dinosaurs whose fossils were found in North and South America, as well as Asia. These dinosaurs had long legs and necks, and were probably feathered, but the main characteristic that sets most of these particular dinosaurs apart, is their insanely tiny arms, which end in a single clawed digit.

More and more species of dinosaurs are discovered almost weekly and that pace easily outruns the capacity for toy companies to release new figures. That’s however not the only reason why some species probably will never find their way into kid’s rooms or even collectors’ shelves. Some if not most of them are simply not as awe inspiring or mighty as others.

Review: Mononykus with Desert Environment Accessory Pack (Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series by Creative Beast Studio)

4.9 (45 votes)

David Silva, the sculptor behind the Creative Beast line of model kits, ran a Kickstarter campaign in April 2016 to produce the Beasts of the Mesozoic “Raptor” Series, a range of large-scale dromaeosaurid action figures that he strove to make accurate, detailed, and posable. The campaign ended in May 2016 with a prodigious fundraising total and a much larger scope than first anticipated.

Hello, and welcome to another EmperorDinobot review! Today we shall be looking at one of Jurassic Park: Dominion‘s new dinosaur figures from Mattel, Moros intrepidus!

I must admit, I knew almost nothing about Moros going into this review, and I do wish to thank Mattel for producing figures of animals I had rarely heard of.

Review: Nanotyrannus (PNSO)

A violent fight is underway. Deafening growls, screams, and grunts pierce the air shattering this once tranquil part of the forest and bringing chaos for those animals who live within its periphery. A sudden rustling from behind the bushes followed by the sound of an animal hurt accompanied by loud thud indicates something is thrown on the ground.

Review: Nanshiungosaurus (Terra Series by Battat)

Genus: Brand: , Classification: , Age: Type:

4.5 (19 votes)
By now most of us who concern ourselves with such matters are aware that the Battat Company has launched a new line of dinosaur figures and naturally we’re all very excited about it. Forum member Takama has already reviewed their stellar take on the Pachyrhinosaurus but there are still three other new models that require our scrutiny.

Review: Nanuqsaurus (CollectA)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

Nanuqsaurus (“polar bear lizard”) is a poorly understood Alaskan tyrannosaurine that lived around 68 to 70 million years ago. Although it is presently known only from fragments of skull and an array of teeth, it recently received a major boost of publicity in 2022 by appearing in the first season of the fabulous Apple TV series Prehistoric Planet.

Review: Neovenator (2021)(CollectA)

It’s a hot, clear summer day. Birds are chirping in the trees while the pterosaurs overhead call out to each other as they pass in the sky. Turtles and crocodyliformes are basking comfortably on the banks of the calmly flowing river and on one side, a single spinosaur is standing stock still in the shallows, waiting patiently for a meal to swim by.

CollectA! One of the greatest current companies that produces dinosaur figures! While Papo has the detail, Schleich has the playability, and Wild Safari has the realism, CollectA has all of those three points! But this figure I will be looking at today is from the “dark ages” of CollectA’s history.
