Once Universal and Hasbro saw the potential in Jurassic World toys after great sales last year, they decided to bring it back as DINO HYBRIDS! The new line consists of repaints and retooled JW dinosaurs with features such as removable armor, spikes and so forth.

Review: Dilophosaurus with Pteranodon (Jurassic World Hero Mashers by Hasbro)

1.9 (12 votes)
For my fifth and final Hero Mashers review, I’ll be looking at two very familiar faces from the JP franchise: Dilophosaurus and Pteranodon.

The Dilophosaurus is made up of twelve pieces. Once assembled, the carnivore measures about 24 cm long.

Ah, Parasaurolophus. By virtue of its distinctive tube-shaped crest, it has become the “default” hadrosaur, the one most frequently depicted in films, television, and toys. This particular piece of plastic we’ll be looking at comes courtesy of Chap Mei.

From the tip of its bill to the curve in its tail, this dinosaur measures 21.5 cm long.

Review: Triceratops with Stegosaurus (Jurassic World Hero Mashers by Hasbro)

1.8 (12 votes)
Triceratops, with its huge horned head, and Stegosaurus, with its thorny thagomizer, are something of an armoured tag team in dinosaur pop culture, bravely standing together against Tyrannosaurus rex, Allosaurus, and all the other meat eaters.

We’ve looked at an Ultra set, we’ve looked at a Deluxe set, and now it’s time to look at a Basic Jurassic World Hero Mashers Set. Specifically, that iconic walking battle tank, Ankylosaurus magniventris.

The Ankylosaurus is made up of seven parts.

The sky is clear and boundless blue; it is a beautiful 80 degrees, a nice day to be at the park.  The water is a beautiful shade of blue green, there is barely a ripple across the calm lagoon.  There is something dangerous roaming in the depth of the waters, but not a trace of it is seen.

And now we come to the last of the Bashers and Biters figures released in 2015, and like the last one I reviewed, it’s not even a real dinosaur. Thankfully, this abomination was never featured in the flesh in Jurassic World, but due to the Indominus Rex’s unfortunate popularity, I can’t help but wonder if this thing will makes its big screen debut in the upcoming sequel.

Review: Carnotaurus with Ichthyosaurus (Jurassic World Hero Mashers by Hasbro)

2.5 (17 votes)
Time for a second helping of Hero Mashers! This time we’ll be looking at Carnotaurus, the mighty “meat-eating bull” of South America, and Ichthyosaurus, the English “fish lizard” that helped make Mary Anning a legend among paleontologists.

The Carnotaurus is made up of ten parts.

And now for something completely different from all the scientifically sound and modern reconstructions of dinosaurs. I’ve tackled many different figures for this blog, but today marks the start of a series of reviews that will be very different.

Hero Mashers, which consists of buildable action figures with interchangeable parts, is one of Hasbro’s more successful lines. It includes the popular brands Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel Super Heroes, and, beginning in 2015, Jurassic World. Today we’ll be taking a look at one of the largest sets: the Toys R Us exclusive Tyrannosaurus rex.
