Another treasured item in my collection is Cynthia, a unique and truly adorable stuffed woolly mammoth toy by Douglas Cuddle Toys. She is around 8 inches long and stands approximately 5 inches tall.

First of all, I’d like to say that I think the workmanship on this woolly mammoth is superb.

AAA is a company that had prominence when many of us were young, way back before we cared about detail or company or accuracy. Instead, just cared about actually having a dinosaur figure. And surprisingly, Styracosaurus was not a dinosaur often made into a figure back then–Monoclonius was a winner among the horned dinosaurs.

Velociraptor‘s name rose to fame in the early 90s’ with the release of Jurassic Park, despite the creature in the movie being actually based on the related Deinonychus.

CollectA! One of the greatest current companies that produces dinosaur figures! While Papo has the detail, Schleich has the playability, and Wild Safari has the realism, CollectA has all of those three points! But this figure I will be looking at today is from the “dark ages” of CollectA’s history.

I-Toy is a fairly new toy and model maker from China. They have been getting the attention of dinosaur collectors lately with their new Resurrection series.

This new Ceratosaurus is the second figure they released, the first being a Jurassic Park-styled Velociraptor.

Smilodon, the notorious sabre-toothed cat, has been included in dinosaur toy sets for decades. It’s often depicted in the likeness of a modern tiger, probably in part due to its common name being “sabre-toothed tiger.” On the contrary, this cat wasn’t closely related to tigers, belonging to a now-extinct subfamily of felidae: Machairodontinae.

Perhaps the most well-recognized ornithopod, Parasaurolophus is included in nearly every dinosaur toy line. It was part of the original starting lineup of the legendary Carnegie Collection. In fact, the Carnegie Parasaurolophus was one of only five models released in 1988 to have remained relatively unchanged until the extinction of the Carnegie line in 2015.
