I’m still rather unclear on how DinoWaurs worked. It was distributed by One2Play, a South African organization that may or may not still exist. I was under the impression that they were simply for collecting before I started researching this review, but there seems to be a game that goes along with it.

Among theropods from the Cretaceous period, Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Spinosaurus instantly come to people’s minds due to their sheer size and ferocity, as well as Velociraptor for its swiftness and intelligence (which is exaggerated by Jurassic Park).

By now, most dinosaur fans have probably watched the new Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Like many viewers, it seems, I was pleasantly surprised by the show. I was, of course, equally excited by the new toys being produced by Mattel for the show.

Review: Majungasaurus (Jurassic World Primal Attack, Sound Strike by Mattel)

Where abelisaurids are concerned the genus Majungasaurus is second in popularity only to Carnotaurus. It has a few things working in its favor. It lived at the very end of the Cretaceous period in what is now Madagascar and was the dominant predator of its ecosystem.

Review: Dino Skulls (Toob by Safari Ltd.)

From the savage teeth of tyrannosaurs to the intimidating horns of ceratopsians to the endearing crests of hadrosaurs and to the peculiar noggins of pachycephalosaurs, dinosaur skulls truly are stupendous. I previously reviewed Safari’s toob of prehistoric mammal skulls; now I’ll be looking at their Dino Skulls toob.

Abelisaurus, which joins the distinguished likes of Ankylosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus rex in having an entire group of animals named after it, is presently known from only an incomplete skull.

Dinosaurs roamed the earth once again this past June in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Following suit, LEGO released a wave of sets to commemorate the latest blockbuster movie from the dinosaur-themed franchise.

I always like it when companies try out species that have never been made into figures before, as it gives people a chance to learn about new species and expand their knowledge. I have stated many times that I love the DinoWaurs Survival for this and continue to do too.

Hello dinofans, and welcome to another review! I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying spring. Today we will review one of 2019’s new figure from CollectA. Enjoy.

Since making its film debut in Disney’s animated movie Dinosaur way back in 2001, Carnotaurus’s popularity have soared, in fact so much so that it is now among the most famous  dinosaur of all times.

Carnotaurus, the meat-eating bull, was an abelisaurid theropod that has seen its rise to fame with Disney’s Dinosaur and more recently in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and probably needs no further introduction for those familiar with the blog (though for those who are new, don’t worry, it will be covered).

This is the first unpainted resin model kit that I have purchased since I started collecting prehistoric figures. I will start off by saying that Carnotaurus was never really one of my favorite theropods.

Described in 1985 the genus Carnotaurus is a relatively new addition to the elite list of truly popular dinosaurs. This abelisaurid is certainly unique enough to warrant notoriety but it has only recently really achieved it. Although toys abounded of the Carnotaurus from the 2000 film Dinosaur as well as some earlier Kenner toys for Jurassic Park, we really didn’t get a good toy of the theropod until 2011 with the re-sculpt of the Carnegie collection model.
