This review hits another milestone as it is my 70th one for the blog! Deciding which figure to mark the occasion has proven competitive, but one stood out and pushed my original choice: Wilson.

For my 70th review, there was no question who the subject should be.

This is no mere great white copy; Patton the Megalodon is a grade-A movie monster, a hulking brute with commanding shelf presence.

Let’s face it: people love apex predators. We’re scared of them, sure, but we also admire them and get excited by them.

The rainy season is in full swing and out on the plains, herds of animals are gathering for their migration. Their path is cut by a river that, just a few months ago, was shallow and easy to cross. As the rain gather strength, so too are the numbers of animals coming in from different corners.

Within the last few years, the ornithopod group of dinosaurs has seen a renaissance after being neglected for a long time. It wasn’t always the case, in fact some of the first dinosaur toy figures were from this group. But despite having had early fame, the group would soon be relegated to the sideline as token prey species for the ever-popular throng of predatory theropods.

Review: Tuojiangosaurus (Qichuan) (Prehistoric Animal Models by PNSO)

For the last several months the Chinese company PNSO (Peking Natural Science-art Organization) has delivered upon us a glut of prehistoric animal figures that have shaken the fountain of our hobby and truly changed the game, or such is my opinion anyway. These figures are mostly in PNSO’s mid-range size of figures that retail for $20-30 and at this point I’ve frankly lost count of how many have actually been released.

Review: Sauropelta (PNSO)

Leaves rustle softly in the wind, while a young Acrocanthosaurus is snoring in the cool shade of a tree fern. Unnoticed by the sleeping predator the quiet is slowly disturbed. Dried leaves and small twigs crackle in the distance, the sound crawls nearer, slow, but steady.

There are quite a number of fossils that stun the layman aswell as the professionell for their quality of preservation. Finds enclosed in Burmese amber, Chinese or German limestone come to mind, revealing large numbers of numerous species in outstanding quality. In common they have, that most of the species preserved are comparably small….

Review: Pachyrhinosaurus (Age of the Dinosaurs by PNSO)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

4.5 (14 votes)

Pachyrhinosaurus was one of the largest centrosaurines, those ceratopsians that tended to have relatively short frills and either large nasal horns or thick snouts. It is also the largest known ceratopsian to not possess horns on its nose or its brow, the most speciose, with P.

When it comes to Tyrannosaurus rex, the first image that comes to mind is that of a snarling, blood-thirsty animal. As famous as it is, unfortunately in pop culture films and images, it is often depicted as a villain, a killer that is always on a rampage killing any helpless animal on its way.

So, the description of being cute is not often associated with it.

Review: Indosuchus (Age of the Dinosaurs by PNSO)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

3.7 (13 votes)

During the Late Cretaceous, the subcontinent of India was ruled not by tyrannosaurs, but abelisaurs such as Rajasaurus, Rahiolisaurus, and Indosuchus. The latter is thought to have been anywhere from 7 to 9.7 metres in length, and, unlike most other abelisaurs, appears to have had a relatively longer skull and larger arms.

Review: Sinoceratops baby A-QI (PNSO)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

Hello blog readers! This would be my 60th review, and to mark the occasion, I decided to go cute! Well, not me, but the figure I’m reviewing today! When it comes to baby dinosaur toy figures, I’m not typically excited about them. I have nothing against them really, in fact we really need more of them, at least good ones.

Review: Chasmosaurus (Age of the Dinosaurs by PNSO)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

4.5 (19 votes)

Chasmosaurus is by no means the largest ceratopsian, reaching only around 4.8 metres in length and 2.2 tons in mass. Nor does it boast a particularly intimidating or bizarre array of horns like its fellow Canadians Regaliceratops, Styracosaurus, and Triceratops.
